    The product seemed great, helped me with an injured lower back, however was not ideal for my exact shape but it may work better for you.

    I bought this based on a review from another person who said it worked for their 21" waist. I believe mine is 23" but I have a very big hip to waist ratio that I did not consider. I can't remember exactly my hip size, but I have a very "hourglass" shape. I found this to bend weirdly and uncomfortably because of that. I still managed to wear it and it did help, but because of my shape it was not comfortable to wear sitting or for long periods of time. If you have a more normal shape, or aren't really underweight, this may be more comfortable. It did fit my waist size though and definitely could go smaller! Very accommodating with the added stretchy velcro pieces.

    I got this brace yesterday and wore it right away. I like the way it fits snugly. I was 2 inches away from the maximum measurement for medium size, but decided to order large. At first I was apprehensive about ordering the large but I'm glad I did! I had more room to maneuver and the flaps secure nicely. I took some of the reviews seriously where you need to go 1 size up if you're too close to the maximum measurement. While this brace won't make the pain go away, it does help me keep my back straight, and the support it provides is great. With it, I can bend more confidently and it reminds me not to stoop over the sink while doing dishes. Materials and design are impressive. I have now returned to my piano practice. When I was hit by low back pain 2 weeks ago, I stayed away from the piano scared that I might hurt my spine or posture.
    Like I said, a brace won't miraculously eliminate the back pain, but it offers relief, and gives the wearer a lot of confidence. Nothing can replace physiotherapy or prescribed medication or good back exercises, but this brace will always be my friend. I might even take it with me to wear on the plane!

    I will definitely update this review when I use it more. It arrived on time and I wore it around the house the first day. I have 2 or maybe even 3 now deteriorating disks in my lumbar spine. One over the last 5 years has become severe to the point they are discussing potential surgery. Today I plan on doing a bit more walking and lifting/bending than I did the first day I received this item, and it is cold outside. So today will give me a much better idea on support.

    That being said. Sadly, I am older, not very active due to the lower back pain as I once was, especially since my feet in both legs get numb on me and my right hip begins to also worsen and by the time I get home I am limping when I walk no more than around 2 blocks. Making walking very difficult. I have not really gained weight, but as my doctor says it has redistributed right around my tummy area, probably because I do sit too much. The pain can be so bad standing, sitting or even lying down too much just makes it worse.

    Once I finish doing what I am planning on doing today, which involves around a 6 block walk. Bending and lifting only 8 lbs at a time but getting some distilled water is the goal. And once home, do some laundry. Again, sadly not a lot to most people, but because of my back issues it is a lot. I am 63 years old.

    Fit: now again I measured as per the instructions but because I have most of my weight around the tummy, it rolls just in the front when I sit down. And It is not that easy to get on. If I were in better shape I am assuming that would not be an issue But hey if this does help lessen the numbness in my feet when I walk and the pain, then I can go for longer walks like I did in the past. This is where time will tell, If I can lose some excess weight the fit may even become too large and may have to get another one. But for now we shall see. If at all possible I really would like to see an improvement, lose some weight and if I still need to do surgery all of that can potentially help keep me more mobile. Or investing in something much more rigid, but if that is the case I will be seeing a specialist who will fit me at that time for one rather than get one via Amazon.

    I am positive an update will follow.

    UPDATE: Just hours after my initial review, I did earlier today. Well I did my 6 block walk and an additional 2 blocks (2 separate trips) one getting 5 bottles of distilled water so bending and moving bottles that weight approximately 8 lbs each. I have a cart so no I do not carry these. I did notice minor numbness in my toes, but not nearly as bad as in the past. My hip is slightly sore, but again not nearly as bad as in the past. Laundry on the go, bed made, the bending and pushing needed when making the bed again, not as bad as in the past. There is slight discomfort in my lower back and once I am done and relax for the day I will see what happens once the belt is off. Still currently wearing it. It may be giving me just enough compression to help alleviate most of the pain I have had for the last 3 years when I am lucky to do this much in one day, at times I was laid up for up to 3 days after a short 6 block walk. And of course with the cool temperatures outside, I feel my back in the cooler climate. And so far I have been doing quite well.

    Will definitely add an update in a day or 2 to let you know what happens once the belt came off, and I relaxed for the rest of the day. But so far so good. I moved my initial rating from 3 star to 4. It won't get any better because we are dealing with elastic and from experience elastic eventually wears especially when you use it for tightening, and I have no expectations that the elastic portion will withstand the test of time as it naturally will just wear.

    UPDATE: FEB 5TH 2024 - The seller reached out to me because of the issues I have with my back and offered a full refund with no need to return the item. Or they would send me a different model to test. I thought it over and took a good look as the different model they suggested, I choose the refund no return option. I have received a notification of the upcoming refund today, I only opted for it last night. So far no refund is showing on my card, but I would like to thank Jordan in Customer Service for FREETOO Back Support, for he was very professional and courteous and even concerned about how my back was feeling. The Back support unfortunately is not working as well as I had hoped, but I do appreciate that they reached out to me and offered a full refund, which is the option I picked. It will perhaps take a few days to show up on my card, but if it does not, I will advise. Once it shows up all I can say great customer service. This company proved that they want to ensure their products are worthy for their clients and do what they claim. For me, it was just minor relief, and unfortunately it dug into my belly/tummy when I to bend over or sit down while wearing it. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THIS COMPANY
