I have been using french presses for many years and all but one have broken on me. Some even injured me. So I decided I was going to try something else and that for my own taste in coffee as well as after thinking about the several 30$ presses that gave out on me, I decided to go for something like this. This lil guy is great. I've been using it for two days and have figured out how to brew it to my espresso tastes. A really fine grind (you want it verging on powder but not powder) and filled to the edge of the basket after tamping. It creates a nice crema and fills an average shot glass with one shot and 2 for two shots. Really nice quality for the price. The components are easy to clean and there are not too many pieces. The heating rack on top is cute.So now for consThis guy is top heavy. It's going to fit on a small counter but to take the coffee spout on it off you have to grab the top or risk it falling over. However, the top where one would hold on has buttons, the cup heater and, at the back is the lid for the water tank. Not a big inconvenience but I'll have to learn to take the basket out, tamp the espresso and put it back in before I turn the machine on. I think the cup heater on top could be switched out for a thicker bottom so the thing is less wobbly.Doesn't come with a steaming pitcher, I think it should if you're going to have a steaming wand. Take the metal out of the cup heater and make it into steaming pitchers. The little handle on the steaming wand is waaaay too small. There should be a bigger handle to manouver it around and it works well, so it gets hot. Make sure you don't touch it right after you steam things, you WILL get burned). The steaming dial could do better with a slider or something because it is difficult to turn off quickly (think iron dial). All that said; I will love this machine until it dies. I can make Americanos, espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, just do shots of espresso all day or not have coffee and just steam some non dairy milks with a bunch of cinnamon added. It takes up very little of my scarce counter space. The retro green looks cute in my blue kitchen and it's much better than I was anticipating. Outdid my expectations for something this size at this price point but definitely not safe for children or tweens.

It’s a good beginning machine or for someone that just wants to try out something with their own grounds. It looks really nice. Water leak from the tank no matter how hard I tried to push it down. When it stopped the next day a puddle of water was on my counter. Luckily I didn't left so much in the tank else it'll be all over my floor. The pressure bar never go to 20bar. Not even 10 bar. Fasle advertising!

I love the light turquoise colour! It was hard to find one to match my other kitchen appliances but this was perfect.

I really like the steam function- it certainly makes for a fun latte-making experience, however it does not come with a milk frothing pitcher which an essential part of the machine. I did find one for 12.99 at Winners.

You can press the double coffee serving button more than once to give you more coffee, as this is meant for small shots of Espresso. Not ideal for more than 1-2 people. I don't like how hard it is to detach the filter from the portafiller once the coffee is made and it's time to dump the grinds and clean the filter.

It does make a lovely latte.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Espresso, Easy to Use, Smart Design!
Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2023
Amazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
This Espresso Machine has been a significant upgrade to my morning routine. It's user-friendly and offers exceptional versatility, letting me craft anything from a standard espresso to an americano, mocha, or cappuccino. The functionality and design are impressive. It's equipped for making either one or two shots of espresso and boasts excellent BARR Pressure for optimal water flow through the espresso grounds. Plus, the machine heats up in approximately 45 seconds, which is quite efficient.

A feature that stands out is that there is ample distance from the bottom of the portafilter to the top of the coffee cup, accommodating full-sized cups with ease. Another few details to consider: the machine's color is more almond-like rather than pure white. The stainless steamer nozzle and bottom drip tray are both removable, facilitating easier cleaning and the metal on top of the machine actually warms up cold cups.

On the downside, the absence of a visible timer is noticeable, especially when a double shot of espresso takes around 30 seconds to prepare. So, I just press the button and wait until it's done dripping. Also, the portafilter size is 51mm and the plastic tamper leaves something to be desired in terms of sturdiness. Investing in a metal tamper and funnel would be advisable to maximize the quality of the espresso while conserving them as well.

In summary, this Neretva 20 Bar Espresso Coffee Machine has met and exceeded expectations, besides a few small conveniences missing. It's a well-crafted appliance that I'd recommend to anyone who's serious about their morning espresso routine.

    Appearance is exceptional.
The only problem in my case was a severe discoloration in the portafilter as seen in the photos. Once I contacted customer service they sent me a new unit and I did replace mine.
    Now looks ok.
I found it very economical in the amount of coffee being used.
