- Reviewed in Canada on January 5, 2022Verified PurchaseI upgraded from a Fujitsu ScanSnap ix1500 and boy what a difference. The Raven works without the need for a computer and does all the processing on the unit. The flexibility of scanning destinations is fantastic. I was a Fujitsu ScanSnap fan for many years and loved it, but they've fallen behind in innovation and usability and the touch screen application on the ScanSnap is a joke compared to the Raven. I love how you can add or remove pages to a scan job, send to multiple destinations if desired, etc. The receipt handling on the Fujitsu might a bit better but it's not a deal breaker.
- Reviewed in Canada on February 17, 2021Verified PurchaseI'm trying to go paperless but we still get a ton of mail and we need to do a daily scan to save it. This makes it super simple. You just put your documents in the feeder and press a button. In a few seconds it scans (both sides) and sends it to the Raven cloud and I also have it sent to my OnDrive.
The scan speed is way faster than my current scanner and setup is simple. Plus, it doesn't need to be hooked to a computer and just connects to your WiFi network.
- Reviewed in Canada on September 14, 2021Verified PurchasePurchasing the Raven Pro was the best business records management decision that I've ever made. While the in-house Raven cloud storage interface has some growing to do to catch up to the ease of use of other cloud systems, the Raven Pro interfaces seamlessly with my OneDrive cloud and has made the drudgery of data management a thing of ease. The quality of the scans, the size of the created files, and the ease of use of the unit are all top notch. I highly recommend the Raven Pro if you are thinking of going digital with your business record maintenance.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 4, 2024Verified PurchaseMy scanner is making a terrible noise and will no longer feed paper. I just found out they are out of business. I bought the Pro Scanner in March 2023! Brutal
- Reviewed in Canada on May 8, 2023Verified PurchaseI think this is an excellent scanner. It does not need to be connected to a computer. It can scan to network folders. It has many built in features and scans much quicker than comparable models from others. The only feature I wish it had was a remote user control panel through a web interface. Most other scanners at this price point offer this. With this added in you would have a 5 star product. Match the warranty of the competition and this product would be superior to competitors.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 14, 2021Verified PurchaseWe are a Marketing agency of 8 staff, we were looking for something similar for more then 2 years , we have tried all kind of brands / models, But all if the combined are not even close to this scanner
Easy to setup, anywhere, great tools to send the doc to Dropbox , email, ie , Very efficient
Raven Pro is the best scanner ever
Thanks, Raven team
- Reviewed in Canada on August 4, 2020Verified PurchaseOur office has used ScanSnaps for over a decade, but their software has always been terrible and we decided to give Raven a try this summer.
We’ve been thrilled with it. It doesn’t need a computer, so we were able to install it in a combinent location for everyone. It scans to everyone’s email, as well at the company shared drives and cloud service.
We’ve just placed an order for another 3 and highly recommend you consider it if you need an office scanner.

Images in this review - Reviewed in Canada on February 23, 2021Verified PurchaseExcellent technology! Have used several other mainstream brands previously. Raven is definitely best experience overall. Reliable scanning at high speeds and direct to cloud. Fast boot up and quality of scans adjustable - photos, printed docs, handwritten notes, drawings, old faded papers. Very sensitive to thickness of paper (to prevent multi-feed error) but can disable this feature. On-screen editing can be a bit slow but otherwise great product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rapiso y facil de usar

5.0 out of 5 stars Very interesting Scanner worth every penny
Verified PurchaseLooking to update my current scanner (ScanSnap iX500) which I have had for a number of years, but instead of staying with the same manufacturer, I went with an alternative which I have heard good things about.
The Raven Pro Document Scanner is a very different scanner and so far has surpassed my expectations.
Easy to set up.
Wifi (2GHz and 5GHz) + Wired.
large Control panel with an easy-to-follow interface.
Not so bulky Software to install.
Good quality Scans.
Easy to configure the destination of scans (cloud + local)
I could go on all day with the Pros the only downside is you can't fold it closed which is not a problem for me really for such a good scanner.

5.0 out of 5 stars UPDATE: I updated my review. A must read if you are considering any scanner
Verified PurchaseIf you are in the market for a new scanner, this is a must read as I recently experienced scanners from 3 different brands. I think I've only written two reviews in my life, so I only do it when I think it is really needed. I updated my review to remove a negative remark since I got it resolved.
First, you have to know that I use an Epson flatbed, a Fujitsu ScanSnap ix1600 and lastly I got the Raven Pro since I wanted a better fast photo scanner and we scan a lot for business as well and no longer wanted share the other scanners. If you want a quick answer, buy this Raven Pro or the Raven Original as it is superior to the rest. Here are my primary reasons: (not all perfect, but in my opinion one of the best out there)
1. The Raven scanners can scan directly to the cloud. This means that over your wifi or LAN network you don't need a PC to scan and save files directly on Box, Drop Box, Google Drive, OneDrive, Quickbooks, Evernote and Sharepoint. Other Scanner like the Scan Snap ix 1600 says it can scan to cloud but you need to connect via USB to a pc and it place the files in a sync folder on your pc and then sync to cloud.
2. The build quality is great. The plastics on the paper feeder in the back as well as the front tray is sturdy, and definitely better quality than my other two scanners. The entire build is well designed and good quality.
3. I had to call their support since there was a glitch with the Amazon shipment, and they are very responsive, friendly and local support who really care about their company and products.
4. Since it is a direct to cloud scanner, you can review scans before you upload it right on the large screen. The OS is responsive and works great. It give you success messages when the upload is complete. With the Scan Snap you have no idea. You have to go look on the pc or on the cloud drive to check.
5. Their entire ecosystem around the scanner is great as well.. I like the website and the integration to cloud services are all intuitive and well designed. From sign-up to your account to login and setting up cloud are all easy.
6. For photos, it can scan 600dpi which might be almost too good of a quality for most people but it is nice to have to restore some old photos or make large prints from them. Most other feeder scanners only go up to 300dpi. Other options are 200, 300, and 400dpi so you can strike the right balance of quality and file size.
7. Their OCR technology actually works. Scan a printed document and you will be able to search for it using keywords either in the Raven website, or on your cloud drive.
8. Speaking of Raven website, did you know they give free storage? And that you can enable more than one cloud service at a time which is fantastic. So you great a backup of your scan instantly. I use Raven cloud since it is free, and then the other copy I save to OneDrive. Work great!
9. Their website has a great way of searching and browsing for your documents. They even include a document/pdf editor in the browser that has all the main features of a professional PDF editor like Acrobat. In example, you can annotate using pen tools, highlight text, use shape tools, and more editing of the document itself. Very handy if you don't want to pay subscription to PDF editors.
10. Last but not least is that from experience I realized that there is no 100% perfect scanner that never has quirks, since so many things can go wrong with scanning batches of documents or photos etc. But this is by far the best experience I had from a scanner to date.
You can buy with confidence that it is worth the price. Save your self from frustration with the cheaper scanners. I learned the hard way.

5.0 out of 5 stars Time saver
Verified PurchaseI use this scanner at work. Most of my scans are of the end of day accounting which are emailed to our head office.
This machine allows me to put in all different sizes. Eg A4 balance sheet along with all the card machine slips. It will scan them all at the same time, both sides if needed but it works that out for itself, it will them email them all as 1 file or separate files all with the press of a button.
This scanner has saved me 30 minutes a day so will basically pay for itself in weeks and therefore it makes this scanner one of the cheapest on the market.
A nice feature is the ability to edit the PDF documents so if you forget a PO number you can enter it on the PDF scan. It is a small but important feature for me.

1.0 out of 5 stars It is now a worthless piece of junk to me!
Verified PurchasePlease understand as you read this that I write extensive and objective reviews… I bought the scanner a year ago and after using it for a year, it’s a decent scanner. It’s not the best but by no means the worst and if you were acquiring it for document archive as we were, then you’d likely be quite happy with it!
However, I bought _this_ scanner because of the free Raven Cloud service. Now, before I purchased, I made several inquiries about the ‘free’ Raven Cloud service. Mind you, I’m not looking for something for free. I was looking for something that is not Google/Azure/AWS storage, with unlimited storage and multiple users. And I would have been more than happy to pay for it, not a problem. Nope, it’s all free, free, free, all you can eat, use it up. That was nice. But, short lived.
As the year progressed and we started scanning thousands of documents into Raven Cloud, all was going very well. Not to crazy about their app but the browser interface is more than adequate for what we needed. However, over the summer we got a broadcast email from Raven that the cloud service was shutting down on 12/31/23 and we needed to download everything lest we lose it. So, I just downloaded everything we have in Raven Cloud, over 25,000 scans.
And now, this scanner is worthless to me.
Yes, the scanner has a scan to computer, email, Google and a few other options but that’s not what I got it for. Also note that if you’re trying to scan to email and you’re in Office365, you’re going to have an authentication problem now, caused by Microsoft and their changes of the O365 login protocol (this isn’t Raven’s fault, but, I’ve seen no effort to update the scanner either).
I will likely replace the scanner in the next 30 days. The only short-term saving grace is that it will also scan to a SMB share from a server. In the short term we’ll use that to keep going while we find some other cloud storage and a better quality scanner.
I am totally disappointed in Raven as a company. Some may say I’m being selfish because I was using a free service provided with a hardware purchase. And, I might be inclined to think that if I had not gone to such pain staking lengths with Raven cloud and making my use case intentions very, very clear. In my opinion, this is a mediocre, over priced scanner that no longer supports the features they have advertised here on Amaonz.
