Poorly designed
I installed the keyboard pull out tray yesterday and I have a few thoughts on the product.First, the installation was easy enough for me as I am in the trades so I work with tools everyday. I can see it being difficult for someone who doesnt work with tools everydaySecond, make sure you're desk is at least 1" thick unless you want to see a screw sticking out on the other side. Im not sure if it was mentioned in the details. My desk is only 1/2" thick so I had to use washers (not included) to solve this issue.Third, the board that the keyboard sits on feels really low quailty which makes it not feel very sturdy.Fourth, in the first picture if you have the tray that high you will be unable to push the tray back as it will hit your keyboard. So you would have to lower first than push it in which leads to my fifth issue.Fifth, as you can see in the second picture thats how far the keyboard tray goes back for me. If you want it flush with the front fo your desk you would need to mount the bracket further back. In my case, my desk is just too small.Lets get to the pros.First, its ergonomically. The end.Overall, I would recommend spending a little more and getting something a little better.

Easy to install for people in shape, for Oldies like me it would have been better with a helper because it is a well made steel product which makes it heavy to hold while inserting the screws, again I am 71 years old and have two shoulders injuries in my younger days and have developed a bit of the shakes while holding up heavy objects while on my back. To sum it up, it is an excellent product.

In short, this tray is very good for what you are paying.

The tray is thin and this is a good thing. The wrist rest is comfortable. It is not removable but it is small and should not interfere with the fit of most keyboards, except maybe ergonomic keyboards. There is enough room on the tray for a standard width keyboard and mouse; you can expect to about 8" of mouse space.

The review by Tim Z is bang on for installation. You are likely going to want to mount a thin piece of plywood to the underside of your desk if your desk is made of particle board. This is what I did and it is rock solid. The rail is 18" long and if your desk is exactly that width then the tray will push in flush with the edge of the desk. The rail only has four mounting holes.

The tray slides in an out smoothly enough. The mount and rail slide on bearings. If you put enough pressure on the keyboard the tray may slide on you when you don't want it to and I couldn't find a clip or locking mechanism to prevent that.

The tray will tilt a little if you put a lot of pressure on either end of the tray. The rail and mount are just not rigid enough to prevent this. I only really notice this I try to do it; in day to day use I never notice this. The tray bounces around a little when I am typing. Not enough to disrupt my typing but definitely enough that I can notice it.

This tray suffers from the same knee banging problem that other trays of this kind have. The knob is relatively small but it's still there and if you use your mouse on the tray then you are likely sitting left of centre and your right knee will hit the knob eventually if you sit with a good posture. I recommend removing the knob and just locking the tray in place with a bolt and wrench.

Overall the tray solves the desk space problem I was having at a price I could afford. I feel like I get the same quality of tray I would expect from any other budget tray option but at an even lower price and I would recommend it to anyone if you are looking for a cheap tray and can accept its flaws.

So it's pretty cool, love the swivel and the vertical bend is a decent height.
It took me a while to set it up with the IKEA instructions. All the screws came in one baggie but in the instructions it says "B screws" ... the flat ones go with the keyboard tray.. the rounded one for the sliding part. Its decently heavy so you may need help if you're a weakling like me.

The tray is perfect for a standard keyboard (num pad aswell) and mouse.

I'm happy with my purchase. Got frustrated during the installation but that's most likely a me thing :P

This pairs very well with a large neoprene gaming mat cut to fit the platforme

The bracket itself is very decent. It adjusts using a tightening knob. Loosen the knob adjust and tighten. Once adjusted you can move it left or right depending of your preferred angle. The bracket has all the bells and whistles the other more expensive brackets and after a month of use holding well.

The plastic platform is where it loses stars. It's very flexible and wobbles all over the place when I type. I able to deal with it as i can rest just the very edge of my armrests underneath top solidify it and make it both ergonomic and stable. Just typing this comment now is reminding me of how much it flexes just by the force of my typing. It was no surprise due to dimensions being written but the platform could definitely be an a few centimeters wider as my keyboard barely fits and the the legs would slip off the platform if I didn't add a neoprene mat.

The keyboard tray is made of heavy gauge steel so it's strong. It comes in three pieces in the box. The under desk slider piece (it's kind of like a drawer slider) attaches to the height adjusting arm with four bolts. The keyboard tray piece attaches to the height adjusting arm with four bolts. The under desk slider piece attaches to the underside of the desk with 4 screws.

So long as your desk is fairly thick so the wood screws won't come through the top of the desk then it installs quickly.

FYI - If your desk's top surface is your typical 3/4" or 5/8" or 1/2" thick particle board then you should first glue an extra piece of board (or small piece of plywood) to the underside of the desk's top before attaching the under desk slider piece. I recommend using polyurethane construction adhesive from a chaulking gun for the glue as it provides a stronger attachment then any carpenters glue and it glues to many surfaces that carpenters glue won't stick well to.

The product was complete and arrived in good time.

The keyboard tray slides straight in and straight out, and it can be tilted. It can be rotated left or right, but it was very stiff to start with. If I put a little more pressure on it than the resting weight of my hands, it lowers; I feel like it should be just a little stronger, but it's good otherwise.

The plastic nut that fixes (as in, keeps stationary) the keyboard tray's tilt concerns me. I've had to re-tighten it a couple of times over the last couple weeks, and I'm a bit concerned that it won't be able to cope with the tightness needed, that one of these times I retighten it it's just going to snap in half. But I should be able to get a steel wingnut that will do the job when the plastic one fails.

I like everything about it. It's sturdy, was easy to install and can move up, down, tilt, even pivot side to side if you need. I find I actually like to let it rest on my legs while I work at my computer. It's taken a lot of strain off my shoulders as my keyboard used to sit on my desk and I would have to reach forward to access it.
