I’m an owner of an Oster French door toaster oven with dials. I presume it’s their original one. Had it over 5 years. Use it every day and love it. Decided to get a new version that has a touch pad control in lieu of dials. Looks great! Looks can be deceiving. My husband and I pushed and pushed on the buttons till the unit either slid back against the wall from pushing so hard (not recommended as it needs clearance) or we had to actually hold onto the unit from the back to be able to push hard enough for the buttons to function. This is crazy! How, if the unit is in use and super hot, can you adjust or prolong the cooking time or temperature if you can’t touch it? I don’t understand how their engineers can make something so bad or how quality control can let a product go to market with such a bad design. I’m so horribly sad and disappointed as my original stove was wonderful. The size, ease of use and quality is fantastic. For the company to say that they made it like that specifically to avoid anyone mistakenly pressing the wrong buttons for safety reasons is absurd. Can you imagine having to hold any of your appliances steady in order to push on a touch pad?Sadly I cannot say this for the newer digital version. I’ll be returning it and will look for something else to replace my old version. Thankfully the old one still works!

UPDATE JUNE 14, 2021: points of clarification for people considering this oven. I still love it.
    1) Some people saying doors spring shut on them. You do have to ensure you open the doors fully. Not just to 90 degrees open but past that till they lock in.
    2) the oven in bake and convection mode start out with 350 degrees and 30 minutes, but you can change both immediately.
    3) In Bake and Convection mode you can set the timer for up to 90 minutes.
    4) in Dehydrate mode you can set the timer for up to 6 hours.
    5) the door design with the slight gap is in integral part of the design. You need it for the two doors to open and close together properly. You are not losing a lot of heat out this gap.
And 6) since Oster stopped producing this oven the detailed manual has disappeared off the internet.

    —————————
Bought this as my old oven quite working. Sometime later my microwave physically broke apart, and the stove was down to 2 burners. Debated between this Oster oven and a new microwave. Decided on the Oster. It had just arrived when a neighbour gave me her slightly replaced self cleaning glass top range. The Oster does a better job than the large range. Faster, uses less electricity, and heats the kitchen up less than the big range. Cooks everything better while taking less time. Don't miss the microwave. If need soft butter just put the butter dish on a tray and put in warm oven for 5-10 minutes.
Big bonus this oven reheats pizza better than any other method: skillet, microwave or in the big range. Couple pieces on a pizza tray, heated 250 degrees for 20 minutes = gooey toasted cheese and a truly crispy crust. And it tastes like the fresh pizza, not that cooked in oil flavour you get from other methods. Really glad I bought it.

I needed to replace my old Toastmaster simply because I couldn't clean it properly any more. I've been looking for another toaster oven/convection for a long time that has a door that opens sideways. The french doors on this are great except there's a small gap between them. It looks beautiful and professional, and it's working perfectly. It's got a large capacity interior and is super easy to use. I roasted a prime rib roast from frozen with the convection option and it took half the time as it would have in my regular oven. I love it. It takes up a lot of counter space, but it's worth it.

I’ve been on the hunt for a good oven.
I’ve gone through a few and hated that it was so small, hard to clean, heavy to carry.

Until I got this, it’s been so easy.
It’s light to carry so you can move it anywhere no problem, it’s spacious enough to fit your own pans, and enough to Roast a turkey. The settings are easy to read, and it gets hot instantly. The doors are so much easier, and it also beeps when it’s done preheat and cooking!
I use it daily, Would recommend for sure

There are many positives to the oven like the large size and French doors. But there are two major draw backs for us that will cause us to send this back.
    1. The buttons are not very responsive. you have to push very hard on them to register an input. You will literally have to push so hard that it moves the toaster oven . Very annoying! We should have read more of the reviews as I later discovered other people having the same feedback. I have found that if you push and hold the button for a few seconds it will work better but this is still annoying if you plan to use the toaster oven daily.
    2. The oven automatically sets the timer 20 minutes when you turn it on. Why? I'll set the timer if I need to. Having to change the timer every time you want to bake something for more than 20 minutes is annoying especially when the damn buttons aren't that great to begin with!

We really liked the size and style of this oven but that's not enough to make up for the 2 annoying features.
We regret buying this oven and will likely return it.

*Update*12/01/16: I've recently baked a brownie cake, a fruit pie, pork belly and a big spiral sliced ham in this toaster oven and they all turned out wonderful. The spiral sliced ham was a hit since it was a dish for our Thanksgiving get together, was so juicy and tender, not dry at all and there were so many compliments. We also baked a big slice of pork belly for two hours, the top was so crispy and bubbly brown while the pork meat was tender and juicy just like the ham, I wasn't expecting that so I was amazed. Still very happy with my purchase!
    ------------
I've been looking for a toaster oven for quite some time since I moved out. I almost settled for a toaster oven that was around $40 but realized that since I wasn't using my oven, that I needed a bigger toaster oven since I love baking and definitely wanted something with a lot of room to fit a 13x9 pan and so on. It took me about a week to receive this which was amazing because I was a dummy and waited after it almost sold out to buy one and was notified that it would take approximately 2 -3 months to ship to me. So I was really happy when Amazon notified me a few days later that I would receive it so much sooner.

After I unboxed it and set it on my counter, I admired how nice it looked in stainless steel with its french doors which made it look so fancy. I read over the manual and then set the clock which was easy to do. The first thing that I cooked in this toaster oven was a rack of ribs split into two pieces that was marinaded, I used the aluminum pan that came with it and the ribs turned out amazing. I've only used the broil and toast function so far and am looking up ideas so I can use the dehydrate option. It's so easy to use it too, from choosing the function, setting the temp and timer to starting and stopping the cooking process, also love how it has a light inside when food is cooking and it does stay on the entire time until you turn off the toaster oven. Now I cook all sorts of things in this toaster oven, it's very roomy and gives me the light-bulb that I need to make and bake my own pizza.

This toaster oven does create heat when in use and the outside does get hot so I just keep everything away from it. The cord is also short and I do wish it was longer but I use an extension cord to fix that. The inside is very easy to clean and so are the glass doors. I have yet to bake any sweets though because I haven't had the time and usually just cook dinner after work and such but Thanksgiving is coming and I need to start my pie practice so I will be baking some goodies real soon. I'm overall very happy with my toaster oven, absolutely love it and am so satisfied that I made the purchase and a big giant thank you to Amazon for shipping this out to me in a week instead of the 2 -3 months that I was told.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Nice!
Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2021

I bought this as an experiment. I have a super nice gas oven in the kitchen but live in a climate that goes over 100 degrees for 3 months a year. If I fire up that oven, no matter how hard my AC works...its just not as comfortable in the house the entire rest of the day. So, I wanted something inexpensive to use outside on the super hot days.

So, I have a huge covered patio, and even though this thing isn't rated for outside, its pretty much like inside conditions (hot and dry) and I found a perfect cover for the device on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084TCW73J?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details).

ANYway, how well does this thing work as compared to my super expensive full-sized gas stove? Pretty dang good. Sure, its different. The Broiler on my large oven works better not on the top rack, but this little guy the broiler works better on the top rack. But, the first time we used this thing was on a plum and apricot cream pastry...came out perfect. We made pizza...came out perfect. Made baked pork loin...great. I find the controls easy to use (once you understand them). I did put an oven temperature gauge in it at fist to test it...pretty dang accurate. So, removed the temperature gauge and have been just using the digital readout and its been perfectly fine.

One time to heat it up faster (was in a rush), I used the Convection Bake mode to get the temp up faster on a pizza and was surprised that on the right size back it was clearly hotter and so I rotated the pizza once and it came out perfect. So, I'll do more testing on the convection setting. Its strange as the heat seems pretty even on regular bake...and typically the situation is the opposite (more even temp on convection).

In conclusion, this little guy does a much better job than I expected...and I'm picky. I hope you enjoy yours.

If you don't have an oven nor a lot of space, this little unit works pretty dang good as a full function oven. Sure, its not full size, but that's why its affordable. Love the french doors that are mechanically linked so you can open both with one hand. Can operate doors easily with an oven mitten on as the handles are full sized (its the little things that are well thought out). Comes with two racks, and a baking non-stick pan. It also toasts, broils, defrosts, and dehydrates.
