Easy Access to Countertop

The Easy Reach Toaster Oven door rolls up, not down, making it easy to move your food from the oven directly to your plate when it’s done.

Easy to Keep Clean

Melted cheeses, crumbs and juices are less likely to end up on the door because the door is never under the rack when food is being removed or put into the oven. The roll-top door and the crumb tray are both removable for cleaning.

Convection

This oven lets you choose between bake and convection. The bake function is great for making delicious cakes and desserts. Use convection for crisp, golden-brown pizza and for an evenly cooked, caramelized crust on baked goods. Convection provides more even cooking as the fan circulates heated air continuously around the food. Convection typically reduces cooking time.

Great little cooker
5 out of 5 stars
Great little cooker
Love the digital display and the door sliding above the oven leaving the oven open to retrieve toast ( which toasts quickly and well ).I have baked casseroles and fries and it has been great to not have to turn on a big oven. I wish it was a bit higher for my bread but it seemed as though my loaf would touch the upper element. All in all a great little power house oven as there’s two of us and it’s nice not to have to turn on the large oven most days.

The toaster oven is great, I baked 2 loaves in it at the same time and it didn't take any longer than my regular oven, I just should have covered the loaves sooner with tinfoil as they got a extra done on top. I like the way the door opens up in stead of down. I specifically got this version with the buttons and screen instead of the ovens with the dials because it's more precise and you can do a minute, or 30 seconds if you want. You can't do that with the dials. It says to bake pizza on the bottom shelf setting but found the bottom of the crust was too well done, works better on the middle shelf setting for pizza. Just a little bit of a learning curve using this.

Review update. Purchased I year ago. It has a wierd electrical problem. It comes on all by its self. No heat but the display and lit buttons turn on. When this happens, it won't work. I have to unplug and reset it to use it. Irritating problem

Very quiet and love the convenience of being able to lift the cover compared to having the door swing open. I line the shelves to keep them shiny for as long as possible and makes cleanup easier. Only one of the two sides of the unit heats up which is good so I can have it close to other items on the kitchen counter without worrying they'll melt from the heat. Controls are convenient. Overall very pleased with my purchase.

The one thing that I don’t like about this toaster oven is that you have no way of knowing when the oven has reached the desired temperature. Also, when you set the timer it starts counting down right away, not once the oven is to temperature. This oven is good if you just want it for toasting bread. I miss my old oven that beeped when the temperature was reached.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great toaster oven that is extremely easy to operate
Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2017

Great toaster oven that is extremely easy to operate. Comes with several preset settings- broil, toast, bake, pizza & convection, however if you need to tweak for your own preferences- the temp and time buttons are pretty easy to navigate. I will say at first I was hesitant as I was somewhat expecting the digital display to be an "on all the time" type, but that's not the case. The display shuts off when either the timer has count down to 0, or when you manually hit the power button. I was also initially thinking after receiving it that it might be too basic, but after having a digital display interface on a different oven that felt like I was launching the space shuttle just to toast a slice or two of bread, or at the other end of the spectrum having one of those manual mechanical "ticker" timers that usually are never anywhere near correct and only jam after a time- I'm finding the balance to work well. Just precise- no gimmicks- a easy to work with and read interface.

I'm also very happy with the over the top door system and mechanism. It easily gets out of the way when you need to get to the food and creates a good seal when you close it with a nice smooth action.

Over all everything works to plan and doesn't feel exaggerated or poorly planned. Also, the unit has a nice large easy to get to interior with a somewhat sleek and low profile exterior that seems every bit as big on the inside as my previous countertop ovens- but a lot smaller on the outside.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than all the "Me Too" Toaster Ovens
Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2016

It got to be that time again to replace the Toaster Oven.....the last toaster oven had the common style rotary knobs making it difficult to heat foods at specific temps and times. My wife and I have different careers in the food business....the following review is our experience in our home kitchen

I've been using this toaster oven for about 3 weeks. Overall the experience has been 5 star.
Toast - Excellent -- what I like is the pre-programmed toast times -- allow for light toast to well-done -- it's pre-set by time.
Bake - this oven is super-efficient and fast at reheating -- reheating a slice of pizza from the fridge -- 5 min @ 350F and the edge of crust will be dark drown -- Pizza hot.
Broil -- works as you would expect
Pizza - haven't tried this yet -- but it's big enough for a 12" round Pizza Pan
Convection -- after you start a bake cycle -- press Convection Button and the convection fan starts and you see the convection fan symbol on the control panel. Nice to have that extra heat to help sear and keep things moist/juicy inside

It's a big oven capacity with great heat controls -- I see it being my new go to appliance to reheat frozen meals and caseroles without creating too much mess to the interior -- I bring this up abt the glass door the lifts up without free access to scrub clean -- I don't plan to overload the oven and have too much food splattering and drying on glass..........

Until this one breaks and I my heart may be broken ..........I'm a super happy camper.

    UPDATE:
Mid February - 2 months old the "Power/On" button broke and the unit was no longer functional.......the Hamilton Beach were helpful and easy to walk me thru obtaining a replacement without having to return the defective unit -- super easy.......now I'm still concerned how well the "Digital Control Panel" holds up. I still love this small counter top oven ......time will tell.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very versatile and good price point... but watch out for the top.

The good: Lid design is clever and useful, generously sized interior, easy to clean, quick to heat up, controls are intuitive, presets cover most of your heating needs and convention heating makes it more versatile.

The bad. The top gets HOT. I'm tempted to put a a layer or two of silicone cooking mat material cut to size on top to prevent burns. There are a lot of people in our household and if you don't know that something was cooking at 400° there for the last hour, your hand might brush up against it and you could get a nasty surprise.

Other than that, I feel this is an excellent product for the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars FINALLY a toaster oven that actually makes toast!!!
Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2017

I had been searching for a toaster oven that could make toast for over 25 years. This HB Easy Reach Digital Convection Oven is the 6th one I purchased. FINALLY, I found what I was looking for. The toast is perfect. And I love the glass dooe that lifts up over the top of the oven because I was burning my hand, repeatedly on the toaster ovens with the door that flips top down. The opening seems to be larger on this oven. It is quite nice looking. Don't let the product photo fool you. This oven is stainless steel, silver & black - not green like the photo. I hope Hamilton Beach will submit a new photo that is a realistic depiction of what this oven truly looks like. I'm getting acquainted with the convection oven. It works great but I haven't used it much. Later I plan to add to this review if I discover more needs to be said about that. To expound on other reviews mentioning it takes more time to enter what you want done. I found this process to be very simple if you 1st place your food in the oven. Then 2nd you press the buttons to provide your instructions. You do not need to keep pressing the button to instruct temperature & time. Simply depress the button & hold it down until your desired setting is reached. This oven is simply fantastic. Thank you Hamilton Beach for providing a quality product so far superior than any other available.

5.0 out of 5 stars I just love this thing.
Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2017

This thing is in use quite often in my household.
I like in particular the convection function.
In the beginning of using this table top oven, one needs to learn the approximate time it takes to cook frozen or other foods.
Pizza may have to cook less time as one would use in a conventional Natural Gas or Electric oven.
Not a real problem, its primarily up to the operator and manual or the printed instructions on the food packaging is really just a starting point.
Cleaning the inside is easy, it may be a little tricky to clean the glass on the front door.
I lift it about halfway +/- and get behind e.g. clean the inside of the glass in this way. It works, but is a little cumbersome.
I read in some review about the bump on the back and what purpose it would serve.
    In my opinion, this is
    A. to keep a distance from the wall (it can get very hot) and
    B. if a 12" round pizza is to fit into the oven, it has to have some room.
I don't think that the swivel door is easy to remove, although with the right tools, anything is possible.
Is it worth it, just to clean the glass, absolutely not, as long as I can reach the inside, performing a few handstands.
Someone said, there would be no way to change the cooking timer or temperature, once the oven has started.
Perhaps I have a different version of Firmware in mine, since I can change both on the fly.
Also, the manual states to unplug the oven every time after use.
Technically, there is no reason to do so. The oven stays hot for a little while and any fat's / oils that may have dripped onto the heating elements might trigger a fire. The manufacturer may want to cover this aspect, perhaps they may have had an incident prior e.g. the food was taken out the oven was still running an lit a fire, or something like that. So they feel it is safer to unplug after use to take away any energy source.
Someone raised concern about the display to break id it is on all the time.
LCD's have quite a life time and use a minimum on energy, down in the micro amps (very low consumption) to keep the display working.
In my version the backlight switches off after a predetermined time.
I am out of logical reasons for unplugging the device after use, other than having a very slight chance of causing a fire!
This is in my opinion no issue if everyone uses caution and don't leave it unattended during and a little while after cooking.
I personally like to use aluminum foil to cover the drip pan, it is so much easier to keep it clean.
If you decide to do so, place the reflective side upwards, so the heat reflects up towards the food.
Other than the above, I don't have much more to say about this cooking device.
I just like it, it cooks fast and is a convenient alternative for small portions of food.
