- Reviewed in Canada on June 25, 2019Colour Name: GrayVerified PurchaseI got a couple of these to leave out for everyday use at our church. They are inexpensive enough that I don't care if someone wanders off with one and forgets to return it. (I keep our Shure SM58 mikes locked up for use on special occasions.) The dynamic microphone element in this Pyle mike is incorrectly wired internally for use with a balanced XLR mixer. It does work if plugged in with a standard xlr to xlr mike cord cord, but picks up an annoying amount of hum. The problem is that a the two wires of the dynamic microphone element are soldered in this mike to pins 1 and 2 of the xlr connector. But for use with a standard balanced xlr mixer the two wires should be connected to pins 3 and 2. After removing the little screw at the xlr connector end of the mike it is quite easy to pull the connector out an inch or so, unsolder the internal wire going to pin 1 and resolder it to pin 3, and re-assemble. This eliminates the annoying hum and connects the mike properly to the balanced XLR mixer input. With its plastic body, there is no need and no point to connecting pin 1 of this mike ( going to the xlr cable's shield wire) to anything at all. This mike is a rather more directional than the Shure SM58 (which can be a good thing) and is more susceptible to picking up handling noise due to its plastic construction, but with this little internal wiring fix in place is quite useable and 1/5 the price.

The sound is a bit on the low-tone side , which gives it a warm output. I am sure my nephew will love it and it will be perfect fit to plug in his guitar amp.

- Reviewed in Canada on November 21, 2024Colour Name: SwitchVerified PurchaseThe sound is not as clear as my old one.
I broke the old one last get together of Diwali and bought this due to superb review but somehow I don't get same voice quality as my last one. May be my speaker system is suitable or compatible but it is not as impressive as the review says.
Try it yourself and see how it goes.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 21, 2025Colour Name: BlackVerified PurchaseI can't believe this mic was only $20. It's fantastic. Mounted on a pyle mic stand, both of them together are absolutely fantastic.

- Reviewed in Canada on May 19, 2023Colour Name: SwitchVerified PurchaseLove it but the price was so low that i almost passed it over thinking in was probably junk, but no it is a great mic. It allows me to push my voice and it sounds so stable that i feel it makes me a more fearless singer. You should sell it around $49.95. Trust me, everyone would love it at that price, higher priced than the basic mic but lower than the next level mics. The cable is also top notch. Just a suggestion, especially in these times. Cheers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pyle Pro Wired Dynamic Microphone
