This speaker is perfect for the gift not really expensive very affordable. But the battery doesn’t work for 12 hours, is only 5 hours dead in 80% volume.

    I previously owned a solar powered Bluetooth (well okay I still own it) speaker and the rechargeable battery died after about 5 solid years of use, so I opened it up to find the make of the battery to get a replacement, but they're seemingly impossible to find, so I grabbed this mighty little thing, it's "smaller" than my solar powered one, without of course the solar cells but the sound is fairly good....ok ok ok maybe not the sound, the volume....this thing lacks Bass, but the music app in my phone has a EQ so you can play around and make it sound decent....either way this is a great little replacement and it comes with a card slot for microSD something my solar powered one didn't sooooo I guess it kind of evens out. All in all for $20 this was a decent pick up

    Build quality is what you’d expect for the price. Wouldn’t want to drop it. However, the sound quality, ease of use and functionality are great for the price. I leave this on my desk at work (machine shop) and it has held up great. No problems in over 2 months of use. Can’t speak for battery life as I rarely unplug it

    I bought this for my shed. But decided to try with my TV....that worked ok, and again but the sound quality wasn't great.
    Also not happy with the volume control, it's finicky, and typically doesn't change the volume.
    So it'll go to my shed.....
    I'll pay a bit more for another one for my TV.
