    Just installed them tonight, here are my thoughts: if you're used to softer grips, you may find these a little hard and the Outer Diameter probably a mm thinner or so than you'd find on a softer grip. However, on my first test ride, I found taking jumps and bunny hoping to be confidence-inspiring due to the nice grip you get (I always ride with gloves, FYI). There's a bit of flashing on one side of the grips, but it's rubber so it will eventually wear out and given the price, it's too be expected. You really have to screw down hard to lock the grips in place, the expanding end caps require some fiddling to get them in (basically use the end of a plastic handled screwdriver to get them started, squash the wings together to compress when it's halfway thru, give it a little nudge and then you can confine to tap in all the way with the end of the screwdriver. I could not get the rubber bar ends in for the life of me.

    Otherwise, very good value for the money.

    I bought these just to tide me over while I waited for the pair i wanted to be in stock. They did the job, although the material is very slippy if you get sweaty hands. More importantly, the quality of the bolts is so low that they stripped as I was trying to remove them, and now I can't get them off again. Worth paying more for a better quality pair.

    I am converting an old 1990's Specialized StumpJumper to a gravel/trail bike, new paintjob and updating all the components. I'm pretty much changing everything on it to modernize it. The theme is black with red decals.
