Obviously because of the grip, they are a little bit difficult to put on or take off, but I found if you push from the back, they come off/on pretty easily. In terms of durability, I've only used them for a few weeks, but they seem sturdy and will go a long time. I am afraid it will get dirty over the course of time, but that's why it comes with 8!
