I did a lot of research on what was the best poker chips to get on Amazon and this is what I settled on.
The Good:
- The chips have a nice texture and weight to them. I feel like they're not quite as heavy at the ones at my local casino but they are pretty close. The feel nice and make a nice stacking sound. No offensive odor to the chips either.
- A good consistency with the chips. Despite some people having gotten unlucky with some production flaws, I found the chips to be consistent quality, size, shape, weight and paint.
The Bad:
- The playing cards feel very cheap. They'll work, but they are not to the same quality as the chips. Definitely replace them when you can with quality ones.
- The case is more flimsy than it looks, especially the lock and latches. I found that the latches have a hard time lining up correctly to close. And the lock is basically for show - it's not going to really stop anyone from getting in there.
As someone that wanted some quality chips for a local game I'm quite happy with them. Despite the extras (cards and case) being kinda cheap - they function and I can look past that because the quality of the chips is so good.
