About this item

  • Upgraded 300°C high-temperature nozzle: this creality 3D printer comes with upgraded brass nozzle which can stand 300°C high temperature, allow you to choose more kinds of filament like ABS, PETG, PA, PLA, TPU and Wood. Not only for more possibilities of creation but also gives you smoother printing.
  • 【"Sprite" All Metal Direct Drive Extruder】The new upgraded direct extruder comes with a thrust force of up to 80N, the extruder realizes smooth feeding and discharging of flaments without slipping and works great when printing flexible flaments like TPU.
  • 【CR-Touch Auto-Level Sensor】CRTouch can quickly adjust the nozzle printing height on the hot bed. CR-Touch gets the 16-point auto-leveling program, which can collect more samples than the 9-points of the BLTouch, making the bed leveling more precise.
  • 【Higher Printing Precision and Easy Operation】Like the Ender 3 S1, the Ender3 S1 Pro also features a Z-axis dual screw and Z-axis dual motor design. This allows the Ender 3S1 Pro to work more smoothly and synchronously to reduce the possibility of lines and burrs on the sides of your print, thus improving the print quality. You can also install the printers quickly with 6 steps.
  • 【Upgraded in all aspects】New 4.3 inch color touch screen installed and with a user-friendly UI. LED light enables printing in dark environment. Steel spring PEI sheet bed can help you solve the adhesion problem, you don't need a shovel anymore. Filament detection sensor installed and power failure recovery function also supported.

    Great for beginners

    Great for beginners
An excellent printer for beginners and semi-competents. The self levelling feature is a must have which justifies the cost compared to other entry level printers without it. The software is simple enough too, my children (11 & 9) are capable of using it well. It is user friendly, not too big to be inconvenient and excellent tech to inspire young minds. The only improvements I could suggest would be better filament feed mechanism, it has ‘snagged’ on occasion and caused the print to fail. The finished print could be finer and stronger, but this is a budget machine. The micro USB port has also lost it’s retention function and shoots the chip out. Ironically though, I printed a device to enable me to lock the chip in place! All said and done though, absolutely worth the money!

Brought this just as the Covid-19 lockdown started in 2020.

First suggestion is to throw away the instructions from Creality as they are worse than none at all. Just utter rubbish, don't waste your time reading them, Head over to YouTube and fine one of the hundreds of videos that show you how to assemble one. The videos are simple and show you how to ensure the supports are aligned.

It'll take a few hours to assemble if you are careful and take it slowly. getting it square at the beginning is key.

One of the many keys to getting a good print is to get the bed level. Learn how to do it NOW as it will remove frustration and make sure you are getting a good first layer. This is a key element along with the right temperature for nozzle and for the heated bed. It's all related and I'm still learning a few months on.

Once assembled and levelled, put some PLA (don't try ABS or PETG yet) and do some small prints to get a feel for what it can do. Don't try and build a full scale WWII tank, small is good.

3d printing is not that fast, so learn slowly.

I got the BlTouch as well and never got it to work. I am an expert in the Marlin firmware now, but it's a nightmare to get it working and as with so many far eastern manufacturers, the instructions are worse than rubbish. YouTube is your friend.

The first upgrades to print are a little roller and support arm to make sure the filament has a nice smooth path. I have also added a Raspberry Pi 3 and Octoprint to remove the constant changing of the SD Card.

I have also upgraded the motherboard to the quieter V1.1.14 as I <ahem> blew the original one up installing the BLTouch. That was my fault.

I have some Capricorn bowden tube for when the constant PETG printing melts the standard one. That has a limit of 250C and 245C is pretty hard on it. But so far, it's been fine.

The magnetic mat works well for me. Other people have different views, but I like it. So long as the bed is levelled it seems OK. However it's clear the middle of the mat is slightly concave.

The printer has been in pretty much constant use since I got it. It now prints face mask frames for the NHS in PETG. So far, so long as you bed level and get the right temperatures, it's a great first 3d printer.

Would I buy it again knowing what I know now? No, I'd buy a bigger and faster version, but this is a great first 3d printer and I don't regret buying it at all.

This printer is a decent entry level printer for those that want to get into 3d printing.
It comes 90% pre assembled with you only have to bolt the gantry onto the base with 4 hex bolts and route a few wires and plug in a few plugs.
The printer comes with all the tools needed to set up the printer and get you printing. It also comes with a small amount of filament to get you started.

I suggest you watch a setting up video on youtube as the provided instructions are vague at best.

It comes with an sd card with a couple of test prints and a zip file with instructions and videos for set up. I never used these as I just watched a youtube video.

Only real issues I've had is where the sd card died after only a few days.
When taking the hot end cover off, one of the wires to the hotend fan came away and had to be soldered back on. Be careful with those wires as I've seen on several facebook groups that thos is a common reoccurring issue with these printers.

I would suggest that you check the tightness of all screws and bolts, I found a few that was loose, whether it was fro the factory or came loose in shipping I don't know. But make sure you check them as it can affect print quality.

      Pros:
      Ease of setting up.
      Time of set up
      Supplied tools.

      Cons:
      Poor quality sd card.
Broken fan wire on hotend fan.
      Very noisy fans.
No dual Z axis lead screws.
      Bowden tube set up.

This printer would benefit from a much quieter fans all round (noctua fans are a popular mod), dual Z axis modification, PEI spring steel bed, and sprite pro extruder. All of which I have added since owning the printer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great budget 3D printer FOR TECH SAVY PEOPLE!
Reviewed in Canada on 5 February 2024
If your looking to buy, Read this! . Based on other reviews of this product, I figured i would include some info to potential buyers looking through the reviews.

3D Printers aren't like game systems, You don't buy it expecting perfect prints, Or even expecting it to print properly at first at all. I know many children probably ask for one for their birthday or christmas, These aren't toys, These are tools. You could have 24+h into it before you print decent items, Depends on the filament, the item you are printing, Temperature, Humidity, etc. Each material has its own properties and if you're looking for good prints on a cheap printer, you're going to have to do some research on these materials, unless you're already a material scientist. There are plenty of resources provided by Creality as well as the community for ANYONE to learn all this stuff, But you gotta make that effort. Even just sticking to PLA, Theory, and reality differ, So you may need to adjust the settings further than the recommended settings for that material on your specific machine. If your are tech-savvy and know how to operate Google, You should have no problem finding all the info you need to set it up to your liking/needs.

I just got this printer the other day and have been working to get things running how I want, Had the provided PLA printing perfectly within an hour, Using the video Creality provides to level my bed and set the correct Z-Offset. Im printing prototype parts that have to be within a certain tolerance so i printed a test cube, Sizes were shy all around so adjusted the steps/mm in the settings of the printer to get the parts within +/- .2mm. 3rd day of ownership i got bored so i started printing nylon trimmer line and after a day of fiddling, It prints basically perfectly with no stringing and just a tiny bit of warping (Using a massive raft adhesion support), Mind you i've maxed both temps and have the speed set to 30% to account for the material. This is my first time ever touching a 3D printer and after 3 days im already printing with stuff that wasn't mean't to be printed with and understand every setting on the device. All in all, This printer is very capable but will take some research and tweaking.

*If your looking to print right out of the box, This is NOT for you. There are other, Much more expensive options that you don't have to assemble and are already configured.

*If your looking for a capable printer on a budget and have time time/patience to set it up correctly, This IS for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great entry-level printer
Reviewed in the United States on 23 January 2024
I'm a tech-minded person who loves to build and learn new things. After a bit of research, I chose this unit for the lower price point and reviews that mentioned great quality results after some fine-tune adjustments.

Physical assembly is required, but the directions are easy to follow. My first test print with the provided PLA and bunny gcode file came out perfect. For me, I think the setup from unboxing to printing was about 3 hours at a casual pace. Take your time, set it up right, and it will serve you well.

At the time of writing this review, I have had the printer for a few months and made dozens of things with it. My biggest struggle was dialing in the settings with different types of PLA and prints, but other people who have seen the results often wrongly assume that I purchased them from a professional. The other misconception is that I paid a fortune for it; everyone is surprised when I tell them the actual cost.

While this printer is not a pro-grade unit, it certainly does a great job, and it's priced well below what people were paying for these just a few years ago. It even comes with a SD card and all the necessary tools. Glass plate is what everyone wants anyway, and the auto-leveling feature is a godsend. It's awesome that printers like this are bringing more people into the 3D print community. Highly recommend considering this one if you're curious like I was and just getting started.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really great printer, however there are some downsides.
Reviewed in the United States on 7 October 2023
The quality on this printer is actually really good. As long as you get a well sliced and modeled gcode file, it’s really good. The installation was really easy and simple, and required little to no effort. The screws were a bit tricky since they weren’t labeled and were kinda mixed up, but I eventually got it. Leveling was also a hassle free thing to do. I clicked a button, and it cleaned the nozzle, automatic Z offset, and leveled the entire bed, while giving me accurate feedback. Noise is not so good. The fan at 100% can be noisy for some people, especially when you’re sleeping, so that’s one of the downsides. The durability I have no complaints about the overall structure, but the original bed plate was faulty. It actually burned a hole through the removable bed plate, but they gave me a full refund without returning it, so I basically got it for free. I would definitely recommend this printer, but you need to tweak some setting before your prints look like mine. 100% recommended for anyone who’s looking to start out 3d printing.
