4.0 out of 5 stars Un muy buen producto que cumple

5.0 out of 5 stars High quality, and it works very well.

I wanted a motion detection fixture for the outside front door light. The detector on the decorative fixture I installed didn't work. It would pick up cars going by in the street, but not someone coming up the walk. Because the detector was built in to the fixture, it couldn't be "aimed". The RAB fixture is high quality, the instructions are well written, the sensors sense out and down, they can be aimed, and they are easy to adjust. And you can use LED lamps with a warm colour, which is more attractive than the stark white light of some other security lights. High quality, and it works very well.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is good!

I had three flood lights that I installed over 12 years ago. They all worked off the same sensor and a remote control fob. They started to turn on, and not turn off. Even during the day they would not turn off. Then most of the time would not turn on. In the end, they would be on when they should be off, and be off when they should be on. I figured it was time to replace them.

First let me say if you are comparing this fixture with the ones you would get at The Home Depot or Lowes, you would be comparing apples with oranges. The quality of materials and workmanship is hands down better with this RAB light. That's apples with apples comparison. But this unit has dual motion sensors; the traditional one you see in the picture that looks out in front of the unit @ 180 degrees, but also has one that points down @ 360 degrees. That's apples with oranges comparison. If The Home Depot or Lowes does carry an equally comparable product, I've not seen it in their stores or on line.

So You can't sneak up on this fixture. I trip the motion sensor and the light comes on while I'm inside my garage about 2 or 3 feet from the garage door (light is mounted on the soffit in front of the garage door). This is nice as the lights turn on before my wife pulls out of the garage!

OK, so I replaced one of my three existing flood lights with this fixture. I installed it myself and it was very easy. My brother is a master electrician so I've been educated by the best, but if you already have the electrical wiring and base there, RAB has made this the easiest replacement installation I've ever seen. On the box it says "Completely Assembled and pre-Wired for quick installation". This saves time with the install, but also insures it is assembled correctly. Win for them and a win for you!

I reused the old bulbs that were in the old flood light and this fixture puts out more light now. The old fixture didn't have a reflector housing that this RAB unit has - it just had the socket that the bulb screws into. I believe I read somewhere that RAB calls this the 'bullet housing". They really look big when you pull the fixture out of the box.

Other fixtures that have a housing for the light bulb may reflect out more light than a fixture with just a socket, but this is just one more plus for this fixture.

I was so impressed after the installation, I wanted to replace the other two old fixtures, so I did a search on Amazon and found a '2 pack' that saved me about $40.

I installed these fixtures when it was getting dark and in very high wind and the moving trees didn't trigger the sensors.

Another cool feature with this unit is it's pre-drilled at the lip of the Bullet Housing so you can attach a lens or wire mesh to protect the bulb (lens and wire mesh purchased separately). You may not need this feature, but if you do, its there!

Besides hot, neutral, and ground (2 grounds, one for each bulb) his unit has another red wire so you can connect multiple fixtures to be controlled by a single sensor. You may not need this feature, but if you do, its there!

The three units I purchased were made in Malaysia, not China.

They say they shielded the fixture for radio frequency immunity (but don't install it on a circuit that has a electric motor, like a garage door opener).

The sensor says it's "All Season Sensitivity" - so you don't have to readjust the sensor when the season changes.

This is the 8th generation motion sensor from RAB, the company that introduced Passive Inferred Motion Activated Lighting in 1983 (at least that's what they say).

The gasket you get to seal the a flood light on the Junction box (base) is usually a soft flexible gasket. This gasket is mounted on a metal plate so it's a soft gasket but not flexible so it seals better.

The screw that attaches the fixture to the junction box has an o-ring (they give you two screws - one short and one long - each with an o-ring).

There is toll free phone and email support.

In summary, RAB spent time thinking about functionality of the usage and of the installation, and the workmanship of this product is very good.

One last thing: Page 21 describes the warranty. It's a 10 year warranty. For repair during the warranty period, return the product freight prepaid and insured. Get this: If unit is out of warranty, or damage is unrelated to the original manufacture, return unit with a $20 check and they will repair or replacement the unit.

5.0 out of 5 stars easy to adjust and do not suffer from false triggering

This fixture is industrial grade. Installation is a breeze - a hanger is included to hold the fixture while you do the wiring. Sensors are very accurate, easy to adjust and do not suffer from false triggering.

I am using this on the side of the house and it will trigger every time when you approach from any direction. It's been problem free for the 6 months I've been using it and based on the build quality I expect it to last for years.

5.0 out of 5 stars FINALLY a motion sensor flood light on the market that ACTUALLY WORKS!
Reviewed in the United States on 22 November 2013
I cannot BEGIN to describe how satisfied I am with the RAB Super Stealth 360.

For 15 years I've struggled with one crappy motion detector flood light after another. The cheap "Made In China" ones sold at Home Depot coincidentally stop working after 8 months, and the $50 ones off the Internet just turn on/off, on/off, on/off all night when a bug flies out in front. *UGH*

In my quest for a better solution, I found probably the last quality motion flood light manufacturer in America: RAB Lighting. After looking at their website, I got the impression that they make security lighting for BUSINESSES to protect their warehouses and such. Expensive? You get what you pay for. I bought the RAB Super Stealth 360 and have been ecstatic ever since. The Stealth 360 is a solid unit, the wires come per-soldered so there's no guesswork (you just have to connect the 1 black and 1 white to building power), and the installation instructions are written in good english and well laid out. Even comes with a few accessories to customize the device's visibility. In its default state this light starts detected at dusk, stops detecting at dawn, and almost seems to detect motion at such a wide angle that it's difficult to sneak up on it. Very sensitive yet doesn't turn the lights on unnecessarily. If you're looking for a motion detector light that ACTUALLY WORKS, this one is for you. And now wonder, it's MADE IN THE USA!

Honestly, had I known about RAB lighting years ago, I could've saved myself three times as much money and a whole lot of aggravation. Lesson learned.
