Good quality but some quirks.
The bike was the correct model/size but it was advertised as orange and it is clearly blue. Good thing my son is not that picky. I took a star off because one of the screw holes for the water bottle holder was not welded in place so the screw just spins inside and won’t come out. Not able to add a bottle holder. Remember to get a center mount kick stand as an extra part.

    My biggest concern when ordering is that I would get some other version of the bike. I received the 20 inch, which is blue , and there was a thumb shifter as described. So no problems there.

    There were no instructions on how to put this together but it still took less than an hour. All needed tools are in the box except for a phillips screwdriver you will need for the reflectors. Make sure you point the front fork in the right direction before you bolt down the handlebars or you'll have to do that part over. The weird chunk of black wire in the box is a guard for the rear derailer.

    There is no water bottle holder or kickstand provided. The center mount kickstands for 16-18-20 inch bikes solds on amazon (B08HYSXRLC) fit okay as there is a mounting bracket for them.

    My son (9 years old) loves his new bike! The parts are good, it rides really nice, it's rugged, and was easy to put together. Great value! It didn't come with any assembly instructions. :-) I DID look online and there are only videos for Diamondback adult mountain bikes. There's one piece left over (a U-shaped thing with a couple of screws) that didn't seem important so maybe the seller wants to add a link to instructions or a video in the Q&A on this page. That would be nice.

    This was a Christmas present for my 11yr old. He was super excited until I got it assembled. He made one pass around the driveway and then the wheel turned while the handle bars where still straight. I have tried tightening it multiple times and it keeps coming loose. Not sure why it is doing this. I have worked on bikes since I was younger. Now I am going to take it to a bike shop and see if they can fix it. Pretty frustrating to see your child so excited to get a new bike and then not be able to use it. Other than that. The bike looks awesome.

    I was afraid after reading some negative comments for this product but all worked out perfectly. The bike arrived earlier than expected, packaging was fantastic, assembly instructions were super easy (shifters and hand brakes came fully assembled and ready to ride) and everything was exactly as described (many people complained about discrepancies with the speed shifters). My son loves this bike and has been riding it almost daily since we bought it with no issues at all. We are really satisfied with the product and buying it through Amazon (our first bike bought online).

    Great bike. I wanted something aluminum for my son to grow into, and I wanted it to be decent. This easily compares to the entry level ‘bike store’ bikes that cost hundreds more. If you put it together correctly (which is simple) it will be great.

    If you want a properly assembled bike you either have to follow instructions or go to a proper bike mechanic...for some $$.

    I got an awesome bike my son LOVES, and saved all the assembly money and got a great deal.
