Safe sleep environment, no problems with baby hurting himself on mesh
I initially had my newborn in a Graco pack ‘n play bassinet by the bed, but the padding on the bottom started bowing upwards. Between that and the cushy sides, I started to get anxiety about the SIDs risk. I looked online and bought this bassinet when he was about a month and a half old. I chose it because of the mesh sides and the firm mattress. It was super easy to assemble and took up less space than the pack ‘n play. I also love that it’s deep, which gave me peace of mind as my baby got older. I do want to point out that the fact that the bassinet being a little deeper could be troublesome initially for moms healing from a C-section. I personally did not have an issue with it. The mattress is quite firm, but despite this my baby immediately started sleeping better in this. The first night in it, he slept 6 hours straight for the first time. I never had an issue with him cutting his hands or feet on the mesh sides as other reviewers have mentioned. He spent about hour every morning after he woke up dragging his hands across the mesh for entertainment. While it did make an annoying sound, it didn’t hurt his hands. I even tested out the mesh with my own hands beforehand and am not sure how it would be possible to break skin. Perhaps they changed the quality of the mesh since those reviews. I used this all the way up to 6.5 months when I transferred him to a crib in his room. As a bonus, the shape of the bassinet kept him from rolling over in the later months. I absolutely loved this bassinet. The peace of mind of knowing he was in such a safe sleeping environment helped me sleep so much better. Because of the mesh sides I could see him from my bed. I was even able to occasionally rock my baby to sleep in it by pushing on the sides. The vibrations were subtle but effective. My only gripe is that it’s not great for air travel. Because of the awkward dimensions, it’s hard to find an oversize container to fit it. The bag that you “stow” it in doesn’t close completely and is really only appropriate for walking down the street with. It’s a bit impractical. If I could fly with this bassinet, it would be about perfect. Overall it was money well spent. I wish i had it from the beginning!

I really struggled when looking for a bassinet - everything seemed too expensive, fussy, unattractive and/or enormous. I picked this one based on the price, size and simple design, and I've been really happy with it (now two months in). My daughter sleeps at the end of our bed, so I wasn't looking for a "reach-in" type of bassinet. I like the mesh sides because it's easy to see in and breathable for her, and the mattress and cover are comfortable for the baby and easy to clean - I've washed the cover multiple times now and it keeps its shape - I wash cold with the rest of our laundry and air-dry, which never takes long, two hours at most or less in the sun. One other nice thing about the design is that because the mattress hangs from the top rim, you can rock the baby slightly by moving the mattress, or even rubbing the baby's stomach slightly. Many nights and naptimes this is how I get her to drift off. Finally, we're taking a brief trip to see family soon and this bassinet will be so easy to throw in the car and set up in a guest room. A great value!

I did a lot of research prior to choosing this bassinet. I was looking for a basinet with breathable/mesh sides (for visability and safety). And I was looking for something that could pack away small (for travel or storage purposes). This fit both categories and was within our budget. My baby is almost two weeks old and we've used it every day. Assembly is a breeze. It's light to move from room to room. It packs away very compact. And it has given our baby a safe place to sleep or be put down while I shower or use the restroom. My only complaint is that th legs stretch out pretty wide. So it does take up a bit more room than anticipated but it's a minor inconvenience. I also recently discovered that in a pinch you can cover the mattress with a pillowcase and tuck the edges under the mattress. It's a tad short at the end but a near perfect fit if you have to put the original cover in the wash. Overall, I would highly recommend this product.

We bought this for our newborn so she could sleep in the room with us for the first few months after bringing her home. The pad in the bottom is quite thin, but you really don't need a think mattress for a newborn. The mesh around the sides is perfect for allowing us to see her without worrying if she is too close to the sides. She loves the vibration feature. We have been using it for about 10 days now and the batteries are still going strong. It is pretty quiet though so it is hard to tell if you left it on without physically touching it. It is lightweight so it is easy to pick up and move around the room if need be. We haven't taken it apart for travel yet, but plan to in a few days. It comes with a little carrying case, so it should be a breeze to disassemble and reassemble while visiting relatives.

Exactly what I was looking for in a bassinet at a great price point! I am a NICU nurse who is very cautious when it comes to safe sleep practices so I searched high and low for a basic bassinet with breathable fabric that had a nice flat mattress, not a fluffy nest. We will be road tripping to the grandparents' regularly so we also needed something portable. It is easy to assemble and disassemble and would fit easily in the trunk for the drive. Not sure how convenient it would be for air travel as the mattress does not fold (which makes sense so that the mattress stays flat) and it is sturdy so it's a little heavier than I anticipated but I still love it. I suppose it might fit in a large suitcase but it would weigh the luggage down. Anyway, it is a great quality, straightforward bassinet that doesn't cost a ridiculous amount of money. Very happy with our purchase!
