- Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2022We moved to Florida in early 2021. I borrowed this book three times from the library before I bought it. It covers everything to know for Florida gardeners. From grasses to plants to palms, bushes, and shrubs, this book covers it all. I can now identify many of the popular and pretty flowers surrounding me. More important, the book instructs me on how to best care for it all.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2015This is a great starter book for new Florida homeowners . The pictures truly exemplify each shrub and plant. I appreciate the explanation of soil requirements for each plant. This is a good start to what I was looking for to begin my education on Florida garden care.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2020I am new to Florida and found this book very useful. It presents the most common plants in FL and tells you how (and when) to grow them. I originally got this book out of the library but found it so useful that I bought a copy myself.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2024Not as helpful as I anticipated. Not knowing Florida plants I was hoping to educate myself to know what to plant in front of my home
- Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2022Being new to Florida, we had no idea what plants would live in sandy soil and withstand the heat and cool winters. This book answers all of our questions.
