This Gas Auger has a powerful 3Hp 52cc Gas 2 Stroke Single Cylinder OHV Engine, that provides excellent power to torque ratio performance, where it counts. This Gas Auger has a Standard Power of 1.3kW, Max Rotating Power of 7000RPMs & a Max Output Power of 235RPMs at a 30:1 reduction gear ratio. This allows for fast & efficient work to be accomplished whether is in the field of work or on your own personal land.


All of our augers are made of Carbon Coated Steel, providing durability & rust resistance, also this auger includes a Fishtail for precise centering. The alloy steel blades are replaceable, to maximize digging performance. The Push Bolt & R-Pin Clip design allows for the auger to be securely locked in place, eliminating loose or slop/play in the connection.


This Earth Gas Auger is great for Garden & Lawn applications in burrowing, digging post holes, dirt removal, soil cultivation, planting bedding, bulbs, seedlings or fertilizing shrubs, water aeration, weed control & root removal.     I used this to drill 60 fence post holes, which was still hard work but less effort compared to manually digging with post hole diggers and way less time involved. The unit might not last through 600 holes as it is less durable than more expensive models. However, if like most people you will need this only a few times in your life, this will certainly get the job done and for much less cost than a bigger name brand.

    Great auger for the price. Worked just liked advertised. The only reason it got 4 out 5 stars is because the throttle handle can never really be tightened and ends up breaking on the bottom half. I tightened it up accordingly and it still happened. After reading several reviews on this product, I read that many others had the same issue, but were also pleased for the price. I ended up using gorilla tape and zip ties to secure it and it worked great. If you aren’t a professional and just a DIY person then this thing is legit. Just be ready to secure the throttle handle. The cost for a one day rental for an auger was $89 dollars. For 2 days I own one now that I can lend out to friends and know I got my money out of it and some.

    Per the instructions, you're not suppose to run the engine full speed for the first 10 hours of use. I thought this was going to be a problem because I live in South Carolina known for it's red clay. The Earth Auger, tore through the red clay at less than half speed and was super easy to maintain control over when a root was hit. I see a lot of people mention a reverse option. That would be a good option to have on this auger as it is heavy to pull out between the weight of the auger and the clay that was dug up. Slow and easy I dug down 3 feet in no time and placed 2 10 foot logs in 2 separate holes. First time user and was overly cautious. Took about 45 minutes total.

    We decided to buy an auger instead of renting to do our fence because we are doing it in sections, so it was actually cheaper to go this route. It worked great on the first and longest section of fencing, it did take 2 people at times because where we live we have clay starting about 12-18inches down, but the motor did great. However, on our 2nd section, 2nd hole in, the bit hit a rock and the auger jerked out of my husbands hand and the throttle handle hold snapped in half. We ended up having to rent an auger to complete that section because it was a shared fence with our neighbors and they have dogs that they didnt want to have to leave on the chain for too long. I emailed the company and they are supposedly sending a replacement, but its been 3 days and I have yet to receive a tracking number, so we will see. I'll update my review when/if we get the replacement.
