Photo Catalytic Oxidation (PCO)
Employs Titanium Dioxide TiO2 and Ultra Violet UV Technology
The Whole Home O3 PURE uses a PCO TiO2 filter. The works in conjunction with duel UV lights. Photo Catalytic Oxidation is a process that occurs when TiO2 is exposed to strong UV light. When volatile organic compounds (VOCs), other gaseous contaminants, and odors come into contact with the TIO2 surface, they are converted to odorless, harmless water vapor and Carbon Dioxide. The titanium dioxide catalyst is activated by UV light which also neutralizes contaminants.
Powerful Ozone Generator
The Whole Home O3 PURE Air Purifier is equipped with a powerful on board ozone generator. The ozone is produced by ceramic purification plates within the unit. If ever damaged the plates are fully replaceable. The ozone generator converts regular O2 molecules into O3. These attack indoor contaminants both in the air and on surfaces such as smoke, cooking odors, chemicals, litter boxes and many other odor causing sources. The ozone function is fully adjustable and the unit can be run with the ozone function turned completely off. The timer function also allows the machine to run while the space is unoccupied. Ozone has a half life of approximately 15 minutes and will naturally convert back into regular oxygen (O2).

Fixed Needle Ionizers work due to the effects of positive and negative electric charges which are attracted to each other. When the O3 PURE air cleaner’s ionizer is turned on, voltage is applied to dual built-in needles creating electrons which are discharged into the air. When the electrons attach to air molecules, negatively-charged ions are formed. These negative ions are expelled into the room where they attach to positively-charged dust, pollen, cigarette smoke, and pet dander to form larger particles. These can more easily be trapped by your air cleaner's filters. These particles can also descend to the floor to be vacuumed later. They may attach to surfaces in the room and the grill of your air cleaner, requiring more initial dusting.However once the bulk of particulates have been removed, subsequent dusting will be reduced.
The Ion function can be kept on or turned off for the user's needs.
