Product Description
Why do we excel
Accusize Precision Outside Micrometer Set
- Resolution: 0.0001"(inch); 0.01mm(metric).
- Carbide tipped.
- With ratchet stop and locking lever.
- 2" and larger furnished with standards.
- Nice plastic fitted case.
What you need is:
- Analog Style: Absolute measuring and reading experience, worry nothing about run-out while measuring.
- Carbide Tipped Anvil: The measuring faces of the anvil and spindle directly contact with the object to be measured, which means these 2 surfaces are most likely to chip. Carbide-tipped significantly increase the using life of the micrometer.
- Vernier Scale: Not only the nicely crafted main index, but also vernier scales increase the reading accuracy.
- Ratchet Speeder: To protect your high-precision device more carefully, the ratchet speeder fulfilled its role. When tightening the micrometer, the ratchet effectively stops overwhelming forces that may cause damage to the spindle.

Patent Design
Measuring force device:
Measuring force device is used to drive spindle and ensure measuring the force of the measure face invariable, acquire precise measuring results.
Ratchet stop:
Normal micrometers have ratchet stop.
Notices when measuring workpiece by ratchet stop:
- Make measuring faces of anvils, workpiece and spindle touched each other by rotating spindle.
- Rotate the driving cap two or three rounds by two or three fingers.
- Read measuring value.
Ratchet friction thimble or Friction thimble:
Ratchet friction thimble or friction thimble supply measuring force by the improved inner structure of the thimble.
Comparing with ratchet stop, ratchet friction thimble and friction thimble have no axial impact, their measuring forces are more stable and their large thimble is easy for handing. So measurement is seldom interfered with by a man-induced factor when using ratchet friction thimble or friction thimble. And they are easy to be used by one hand and recommended to be used to get precise measuring results.
Sleeve, Thimble: Read measuring result by scale line in sleeve and graduation line in thimble.
Zero Setting
Before the operation, clean measuring faces of the anvil and the spindle with a soft cloth or soft paper. Then bring them together carefully by turning the ratchet stop. If the line marked “0” on the thimble does not coincide with the reference line on the sleeve, adjust zero position in the following manners:
- Deviation within ±0.02mm: Lock the spindle by the locking device then adjust the sleeve with a spanner until the reference line comes exactly in line with the “0” line on the thimble.
- Deviation over ±0.02mm: Lock the spindle by the locking device and lose the ratchet stop by a spanner. Pressing the thimble to the ratchet stop bring it so that the “0” line coincides with the reference line on the sleeve. Fasten ratchet stop and make the final adjustment. If necessary, in the former way.
Professional production control empowers Accusize competitivity.
To provide our customers the best, production control over is seriously implemented. What to be pursued, is more accurate than accurate and no compromise. We begin with the best.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2020Size: 0-6" 6 pc/setVerified PurchaseI needed a set of mics for the shop at work. My good micks were not being taken care of so I purchased these to leave out. They have held up well over the last year. They are accurate enough for the work we do in a food processing plant. If you are not building space ships, air craft, or extremely high persission parts these work fine.
My Starrett set cost over a grand and these were under 150. I got much more than I expected.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2022Size: 0-12" 12pc/setVerified PurchaseCNC Lathe operator, here.
I didn't have $3,000 for Mitutoyo's set of 12. I took a calculated risk on Accusize, already being acquainted with the quality of their dial calipers.
The "wooden" case is pure garbage. It was falling apart when I unboxed it, being made of rotting scraps.
The micrometers and the standards are NOT garbage.
The micrometers will hold 0.0001 all day long. I have checked the Accusize standards against Mitutoyo and Fowler micrometers, and I find no discrepancies.
I am angry over the case. I can build my own, but shouldn't have to.
The micrometers were originally bought with the thought of replacing them with Mitutoyo, as time went on. Now I'm wondering if it's necessary.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2024Size: 0-6" 6 pc/setVerified PurchaseAfter unboxing this product you will more than likely need to clean them. There was oil residue on the micrometers that seemed to "gum" up which resulted in in at least 3 mic's having more resistance than they should (when turning the dial/sleeve).
After cleaning and lubing they seemed to break in a bit.
Every single micrometer in this set was off on average 1-3 thou.
Using the standards included made calibration easy, however I would recommend checking your measurements with precision gauge blocks to ensure proper calibration.
The case included is very nice and a great addition to this set.

Images in this review - Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2020Size: 0-6" 6 pc/setVerified PurchaseI bought this 0-6 set to keep by one of the other machine that I run so I don't have to keep going back and forth. Out of the box 5 of the 6 were dead on, even compared to my Starrett standards, the one only being a few tenths off which was no big deal. I've been waiting to post a review on these because I wanted to know how well they kept their zero throughout the day and also going from Texas heat to what we call winter, to my surprise they are all still holding exactly where they were a few months ago. Really the only difference I can find in these compared to a Mitutoyo that they're modeled after is that the Mitutoyo are indented where your readings are, these being only painted.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2022Size: 0-6" 6 pc/setVerified PurchaseI'm a propeller technician by trade and am frequently using micrometers to measure parts for propellers. I am also an amateur machinist with aspirations of adding some more precision to my hobby. Micrometers are expensive though! So when I found this set of six for $150, I figured I'd check it out. Especially because I've used Accusize for dial calipers in the past and was very pleased. Is $150 for a set of six micrometers too good to be true? Not exactly. Let me explain.
The micrometers themselves are comparable to other less expensive precision measurement equipment I've used. The 0-1" mic actually is very similar to one I have from Mac tools and I got within 0.0001" reading when comparing the two. I haven't had an opportunity to properly test the accuracy of the others, but they seem to read fine on my gauge blocks (which are not calibrated) and I'd be surprised if any of them fail accuracy within +/- 0.0001".
What these lack that higher end, more expensive tools do not is consistency, especially in the ratchet mechanism. The purpose of the ratchet on the end is to give consistent pressure when taking a measurement for the purpose of repeatability. When going between each micrometer, the pressure at which the ratchet engages feels different to me. If you're a beginner just learning how to use these tools, this is something to keep in mind as staying consistent may be difficult until you get the feel for how much to tighten the mic on whatever you're measuring.
The standards included work well enough. I used my gauge blocks to zero each micrometer and when I put the standard in to verify it was at zero each one was. However, I found it difficult to use the standards themselves to set zero on the micrometer. It's possible this would be easier to do with some kind of micrometer stand, to ensure the standard doesn't get crooked between the anvils. I don't personally see this as too much of an issue, once set to zero, the micrometers should be fine for a while depending on the work you do (we re-calibrate ours annually at work).
The one serious complaint I have about this set is that the box is rather disappointing. It's made from a cheaper wood that doesn't seem very durable. There are some rough edges on the inside. I also had some difficult taking some of the larger micrometers in and out. The foam isn't glued down very well and can get in the way of the tools.
For the price, none of the problems I've had with this set bothers me. While some of them would be unacceptable in a more expensive product, I keep reminding myself that I paid something like a fifth of what a higher end set would cost me. They function well and appear to be accurate. I'm willing to put up with a few quirks for the price. For my purposes I think they will work fine in my machining hobby and may be acceptable for measuring propeller parts (I'll update after I've spent some time with them).
In short, if you're looking for an affordable set of micrometers for hobby work, this set is for you. If you're looking to tear down engines or propellers or do professional work with this set, they might do well for you, but you may also be better off getting a higher end set. You get what you pay for and in the case of these micrometers, you get a decent set of tools, with some acceptable standards, and a functional box to store it all.

Size: 0-6" 6 pc/setVerified PurchaseI received them in the mail today. Opened them up to check and calibrate them. Now I'm not a machinest and don't have alot of experience with micrometers.
They seem to be of good build quality the adjuster moves smoothly. Ratchet and locks all work well and are set up good. I checked them against the gauge that is included and they were all on and was able to get repeatable results. They I can feal when they tips contact and it feels solid. I'm confident they will work for the limited use I have. I am a home mechanic and need them for measurements on motors. The vernier scale is nice.

Size: 0-6" 6 pc/setVerified PurchaseI have only unboxed, however my initial impressions are these are exactly what I needed. Just a basic set of micrometers, the quality feels decent. Although I have not tested them on a known item I wager they are close enough for HD mechanical work. I would say they are certainly a good buy. The case they come in is a little low quality, looks like it was put together by a grade 10 wood working class; however I wager it will hold together for years. I would have gave them 5 stars, however the case is a little sloppy. I guess one could say the micrometers are 5 stars when considering quality and price, and the case is 2 stars.
I purchased these mid day on 2018/02/20, they arrived before 11am 2018/02/21... Nothing gets processed and shipped that fast to my ares; EVER. I am majorly impressed.
