Product Description
Whether you are a beginner or intermediate level player, prefer a shakehand or penhold grip, the Nakama Series has a racket for you. The Nakama Racket Series offers a wide range of rubber surfaces, from the entry level Addoy rubber surface to the long-time best-seller, Sriver. The Nakama Series has both all-wood rackets and some comprised of Carbon Fiber. The addition of Carbon Fiber will make the blade lighter, stronger, and stiffer. This provides a larger sweet spot than an all-wood blade and will therefore be more consistent. All rackets are fully assembled and come with two free 40+ balls. All Nakama Series Rackets are International Table Tennis Federation Approved. PLEASE NOTE: Like most recreational rackets, this racket is assembled with a glue that is intended to keep the rubber permanently attached to the wood for the life of the racket. If you prefer to have the ability to upgrade the rubber when it becomes worn, please check out our Pro-Line Series. Did You Know? More World Class Players Trust Butterfly Than Any Other Brand - At the 2019 World Table Tennis Championships, 99.8% of the participants were surveyed regarding their individual blade and rubber usage. Of those surveyed, Butterfly blades were used by 56.6% of the participants while the other 43.4% consisted of 11 different brands. Butterfly rubbers were used by 53.2% of the participants while the other 46.8% consisted of 11 different brands.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2020This grip style seems to be going the way of the dodo. When my family started taking lessons together, my wife was most comfortable with JPH. It’s difficult to find decent JPH blades, they are either cheap junk or ultra expensive kiso hinoki wood. This racket is one of the few mid-range blades for the serious beginner, though overpriced compared to what you get in shake hands for the same $100. The all time classic Sriver rubber costs around $35 a sheet separately. The basic case is freebie quality, pretend it’s worth $5. The blade is decent not great, a tick or two above average. This complete racket would be more fairly priced at $60-80. Thing is, there seem to be no other decent JPH rackets. So you’ll overpay for this style due to its novelty, but it’s the best value competitive racket I was able to find.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2020I bought it for my parents and they really like it. They said it’s light weight and has a good grip.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2021Style: P-1Verified PurchaseIt’s a great racket. Good control and decent spin. But it’s not worth $90 as it has the Sriver rubber which is about $33 from Amazon. Sriver is only an average rubber among the Butterfly rubbers. See attached pic. However, the P-1 is the best Nakama P-Series racket. Note that the rubber is made in Japan but the racket is base in China. Yet China has progressed much and has very advanced technologies in Ping pong equipment these days.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2020I have played table tennis and used many racket.
It is too light.
Thickness of panal is good but too light so I added some stuff on back to make more weight.
Rubber is moderate for beginner.
My overall review is just so so.
If I have chance then I would like to try other racket
