Complete Junk, DOA essentially. Just poor quality, Couldnt initiliaze, Lack of Support
So I have over 20 years of experience in the IT field. So I am familiar with storage and have setup countless NAS's/SANS/DAS and more.Purchased this device, right off the bat, when I turned it on I heard a drive grinding. (This is a bad sign in the hard drive world)Next it wouldnt load the UI, so I reset the device. Again still wouldnt load the UI.Finally pulled the drives, performed another reset.Great, we got to a screen that says a system has already been setup prior. Next I tried to perform a software factory reset. This got to 99% and just hung up.So then I performed a firmware upload, and a fresh initialization. It just hung at 0% and never performed the task.Vendor doesn't provide support at least not on weekends.Just poor quality, I remembered why I typically paid the extra money and got synology systems, they work. QNAP does not.Now to deal with an amazon return.

I have very little to no experience with a NAS. The company I work for uses one and I have access to it is the only experience. They use Synology. I was able to get this thing going with no help in a few hours. It is a little slow with heavy use but light use it seems do do great. I would highly recommend it if you have little to no experience with a NAS.

Other than having issues logging in the first time, this product is great.
