Not stellar, but nice for the price.

Not stellar, but nice for the price.
I recently got a compact mechanical keyboard for my Mac, and wanted a keypad I could use when needed or otherwise put away. The Seenda seemed like a reasonable option at a very low price. It arrived in one day, in a nondescript box with no instructions of any kind, only an exhortation to "Just Be Yourself". Their web site does not list this product, and has no manual download for it. Fortunately it's pretty intuitive, just plug and play. I inserted a AAA battery (not included), plugged the dongle into my USB hub and started tapping; it came right up on the first try. There is no On/Off switch; it wakes up when you tap a key and goes back to sleep (I guess) on its on schedule. There is a red light on the front which flashed a few times when I first inserted the battery, but has been dark ever since; I don't know what it actually does. The keys are certainly not high-quality switches like Cherry or Gateron, but they feel ok and have a definite tactile 'break' when you press one, and make almost no noise. I'm no expert, but they seem to be simple membrane switches. There are six rubber feet on the bottom so it's pretty firm on the desk. The Num Lock key on mine does nothing at all; pressing it has no effect, it just keeps typing numbers. This is ok for me as the number pad was all I wanted, but if you need arrow keys, Home and End etc you might want to look into this. Overall a satisfactory product for the price.

Holds battery life very well for a device that cannot be turned on or off. Great addition to my desk for billing and quick numbers.

It randomly stopped working today. The battery light was flashing so I figured I needed to change the battery. I changed the battery and it's doing the same thing. Doesn't work anymore. I bought it on 2/23/23. Today is 3/1/24.

I got this for my husband, a CPA, to use while traveling. As someone who has spent the past 30 years using a regular keyboard 10-key pad for hours every day, it did not work for him since the layout is different. The plus button has been reduced, the minus button moved down, and a delete button added to the top row. Other than that, the feel is nice and could be a good number pad for a good price if the new layout does not bother you. Photo is this number pad next to a traditional keyboard number pad for comparison.

I haven’t had this number pad very long and it’s already not working. I thought it was the battery
so I changed it. Not sure what happened. Wish I could get my money back, but I’m past the date to do so.
