- Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2018This system is working great for our pets! My 12 year old trained them as outlined by the book (minus her slacking). They are 8&9 and had a fence all their lives. They adapted well to this for the most part. My one naughty dog figured out the pain short to beyond but after adjusting correction, he no longer does this.
Cons: it's a circle only and probably wouldn't use it on a small yard. We have just under 2 acres, so it worked nicely. You can only adjust the circle to be larger or smaller... We moved ours in the house to shift the circle further where we needed it. I wish I had an app that could outline it for me to know where the dogs can go. It was annoying to bend down for a massive circle to put flags out and an app would've fixed this too. And yes, interference does exist at times and you have to figure that out and adjust.
Overall, I'm very impressed for the cost savings from underground and how well it functions. I am glad it's mobile and would definitely buy it again.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2024This is probably one of the best purchases I've ever made. Putting up a wooden fence is way out of our price range at this moment. Having the ability to set up an electric fence by just plugging in the device makes things 10 times easier. It didn't take long for our dogs to learn the boundary. Now we feel comfortable, letting them roam and feel free.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2020The fence really works. However the collars are heavy and the dogs hate them. Seems like they could come up with a lighter more efficient electronic collar.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2023No longer worry about my dog’s running into the road. My son also owns one for his dog. We love this!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2018This product is not working properly in my home! I have moves it 3 times. For some reason, there is inference with the 3 collars. They all receive the signal in different places around the boundary zone. If it was only the 2-3 ft difference they mention it would not be a problem. But, I have 8-10 feet difference in placement of the flags! The company (PetSafe) tells me it's metal interference but the transmitter has been placed at least 5 feet away from any metal. In the brochure it says it only needs to be 3 feet. This cost me $600 and I'm at a loss! It works great when the transmitter is outside but I can't leave it outside in the elements. I have had it since May 2018 and it is probably too late for a refund. I still have to check. But I have spent all this time trying to get it to work. I've even had to have the transmitter replaced once.
The product information doesn't make clear that small household items that have a little metal will interfere with the transmission. I'm not even sure that is the problem since it's not near any metal.
Anyway, it has been a huge hassle and I should have just invested in a chain link fence.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2022Very easy to understand and set up. I've only had mine set up for 2 days now. Packaged really well. I've got 2 Great Danes and a puggle Beagle/pug. So far this fence has done it's job at keeping all 3 inside the 3/4 acre perimeter. Marked the complete perimeter with the flags that came with Package and its a website that will show you proximity of the perimeter without a doubt it was very close to that website after laying out the flags. I've only had it going for 2 days now and I really didn't do the training like the book recommended for the dogs I just walked them around 1 at a time and showed them the flags and so far the most hard headed one of all the Puggle has been shocked once but he has realized now that those flags mean don't go any further. The Great Danes here the beep and they turn around and stay within the boundaries. I feel so much better knowing my pets are safer now. Maybe after a few months I will be able to just let them out without being outside with them so they can enjoy a little freedom from being stuck in the house all the time. Great product so far would recommend for any dog 5 lbs and up.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2019I had the underground invisible fence system at a previous home. Cost has went up tremendously, so looked for a more affordable product to keep my dogs in the yard. One correction is all it took. I live on the top of a hill and have a crazy yard with hill and drop offs, a pool and a metal carport and the unit works flawlessly. Charge lasts probably three weeks. It takes no time to charge the collars and right back in business.
Small investment to keep my babies safe.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2021I bought two systems- one for front & one for the back yard. The back yard was pretty limited and spotted so I added the front as recommended - absolutely no difference!
They confused my dogs (4) so bad I now have to take (pull) them out on a tether. Not good at all.
