Highly Innovative & One of a kind Tail Crawler
The TC8-Marksman is our first ready-to-run 1:8 scale trail crawler. Its efficient Holmes Hobbies powerful 550 size 13T Crawlmaster brushed motor uses a 5-slot rotor for industry leading smoothness and a 1/8th inch heavy-duty drive shafts for strength. It is a highly capable RTR scale trail crawler that includes our trusted RCR-2CENR 2-channel 2.4GHz radio system and new Redcat TC8 1:8 scale platform.

Adjustable Wheelbase for Stability
The specially-designed high strength frame rails makes a solid backbone and ensure that the wheelbase can be adjusted to a length of 355mm, 361mm, 367mm (stock), 373mm and 379mm. This allows the driver to fine tune the Marksman’s front to rear stability. The drive shafts offer the perfect amount of telescoping action to accommodate each of the five different length wheelbase configurations.

Programmable Hobbywing ESC
The Hobbywing QuicRun WP 80A programmable ESC is all-weather, waterproof, and dustproof. It has fifteen different programmable parameter items including the running mode, cutoff voltage, maximum start/reverse force, PWM frequency, BEC voltage, and more.

Additional Scale Details
Our added details include LED-ready headlights, LED-ready off-road light buckets, plastic roll cage, realistic looking non-functional winch, rugged bumpers, rock sliders, inner wheel wells, spare tire mount, injection molded plastic body, and scrape away paint system for best possible trail crawling experience.

The Hobbywing QuicRun WP 80A programmable electronic speed controller is all-weather, waterproof, and dustproof. This Hobbywing ESC has fifteen different programmable parameter items. This enables the driver to tweak the Marksman’s ESC performance characteristics for the ultimate driving experience on any trail. The programmable parameter items include the running mode, battery type, cutoff voltage, initial start force, maximum start force, maximum reverse force, initial brake force, drag brake percentage, drag brake rate, neutral range, start mode/punch, PWM frequency, BEC voltage and freewheeling control. The Hobbywing QuicRun WP 80A ESC even has nine levels of drag brake adjustment. We understand that this level of tuning capability may sound a bit overwhelming to some but don’t worry, we’re making it easy by including an official Hobbywing ESC programming box.

      If you are looking for a rock crawler that can crawl this is it. It is NOT a rock bouncer, rock racer, rock buggy or anything else but a crawler. The suspension set up allows for scale articulation, nothing radical, but more than sufficient. Rock crawling on scale appropriate rocks and climbing is a breeze. It has capabilities for 2S and 3S batteries but I think I prefer 2S. 2S delivers plenty of power for steering, crawling and climbing with plenty of "punch" for getting over steep inclines. Smooth and controlled starts with no hesitation. If you are in the market for a rock crawler I would definitely recommend checking out the impressive tech specs, buying and saving some money over the big-name brands .

      Great crawler overall. I love its size. Motor is very powerful. Nice ground clearance. Tires are good. Seems to be able to crawl over almost anything. Very well constructed. Seems very solid. Maybe it's not a pure crawler, but it does just fine for what I want to use it for. I bought this for my kids, but I'm having a blast making obstacle courses in our back yard and seeing what I can maneuver. Unless you're hardcore about crawling, there's really nothing to upgrade on this other than maybe the steering servo.

      The first day we used it the steering servo blew the circuit board. The Hexfly servos have good reviews here on Amazon, so people like them. Maybe I just got a dud. Redcat customer service is top notch. I submitted a warranty claim for the servo and the next day I got a shipping notice that a new servo was coming. Companies that stand behind their products like that get my repeat business. I might pick up another Marksman or a Gen 9.
