- Reviewed in the United States on September 24, 2024Style: AX3000 | FestaVerified PurchaseI recently set up the TP Link FESTA Wi-Fi system in my home. It includes FESTA router, FESTA switches, and FESTA AP. Comparing to the Ubiquiti system I had for the last several years, this FESTA system is much easier to set up and understand, at least to me - have very basic knowledge about networking. Controlling and seeing the status of the whole network (equipment and users) from the APP on the cell phone is quite convenient and clear. I highly recommend the FESTA system. The WiFi 6 is very fast. But since it is relatively quite new to the market, there is few videos in YouTube about this FESTA system.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2023Style: AX3000Verified PurchaseOk, so I am a geek. I am running OpnSense on a Xeon E3-1226 v3 with 16GB of RAM connected to my network with a Chelsio N320e. If you understand what all that means you know it's WAY overkill for home use and I LOVE it.
So with that out of the way so far this AP has been great. Pulled it out of the box and hooked it to a TP-Link POE switch and connected to power and the network, took a second to look up the IP address and after connecting it was up and running without issue. I have dealt with consumer grade products that took nearly 30 minutes to get setup and working correctly because they want to force the use of an app and even then don't want to go into AP mode. This was a pleasure to configure as it took me longer to hook up some cables and find the IP address than it took to actually put in the settings. If you have done some networking for a while and don't need your hand held this will be great for you.
Doing speed tests to my 10G fiber connected server from my phone while connected to this AP is getting me around 800 Mbps to my Galaxy S21. From my 10G connected desktop I get 5000 Mbps to the same server FYI. This is with 21 connected clients (mostly ESPhome configured ESP8266's) and a connection rate of 866Mbps which is great IMHO.
I have a TP-Link OC200 Hardware controller on it's way as well and need to expand to a set of 3 EAP650's that will all get their power from a TP-Link TL-SG1005P switch and will update with more information when that is completed but so far in standalone mode things are working great. My other current AP is a Netgear R8000 I have had for a while and the handover from the R8000 to the EAP650 is seamless as well so I foresee no issues when 3 EAP650's are up and running.
I also as of yet have not done anything with multiple SSID's or vLan's but that will be in the works soon as well but has been put off until I get all of the hardware needed to make it work correctly. I will be sure to update this review and more information I am however VERY happy with things after the setup being a breeze.

Images in this review - Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2023Style: AX3000Verified PurchaseWas easy to mount and the configuration UI is manageable. Only one annoyance that I've encountered so far is that you can't change the hostname. Or, at least, I can't figure out where you can do it. Other than that it's fast and easy to get VLAN's configured.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2024Style: AX3000 | FestaVerified PurchasePurchased this to replace a 5-year old Ubiquiti PRO AP for our home since did not feel Ubiquiti PRO was working as good as it used to. Also, wanted some of the upgraded features. Was getting frustrated though with Ubiquiti there management console is too complex.
Used the Festa Web App for setup and it found the device easily. Seemed to step thru the process of setup easily. Then loaded the Android Festa app to verify settings.
One thing important was roaming. Wanted to use the same SSID as my wireless router in the front of our home. This worked well with Ubiquiti.
Even though the configuration shows the SSID I programmed in the AX3000 tis still broadcasting the same factory SSID. It did accept the password and range looks better than my Ubiquiti PRO. Also noticed from the Android App there is a setting to turn off the blue light but this does not work.
Attempted to contact live chat. Said I was 2nd in queue but there has not been any response in nearly 2-hours.
Likely going to return this due to lack of support. Maybe I could live with other deficiencies but my wife will not accept a blue light on the ceiling.
Too bad, I like TP-Link and have quite a few of their dimmers and switches that are controlled via Kasa.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect AP for small home/townhome
Style: AX3000Verified PurchaseWe currently live in a two story townhome with my networking stack in the basement. By placing the Omada in the living room, smack in the middle of the house, we were able to get perfectly strong coverage across both floors and the basement. Management of the device is rather simple, and it's been running without a hitch for ~6 months. Solid purchase, especially compared to some of the other competitors (vs price).

5.0 out of 5 stars Massive Jump in Wireless Speed and Quality from Tplink Deco
Style: AX3000Verified PurchaseUpgraded from Deco M5 due to high ping times at random intervals and spotty wireless quality and teams/zoom were unstable.
After upgrading i can max out 5G at 160MHz with 2400Mbps. 2.4G max speed is 600Mbps. When I'm far away it uses 80MHz 1200Mbps link speed and massively reduced connection drops and all issues. Completely standalone and no cloud stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars LP-Link Wi-Fi Ceiling CAT5E Antenna
Style: AX3000Verified PurchaseAll I have to say is WOW what a difference. I purchased 1 antenna to test and was amazed how easy to install and program. Wi-Fi is now steady and covers a great area of the main floor including the outside and basement. I did contacted customer support for some assistance and the technician was very helpful coaching me through the process. I liked it so much I purchased a second one for the garage to monitor my generator located outside along the garage. Signal went from 5% with an extender to 70% with the LP-Link antenna. One point that is very important is make sure you have a POE switch that has the budget to cover the wattage to the antenna or it won’t work. LP-Link has POE switches and I would suggest you call LP-Link support to provide you the POE switch needed. The hardest part of the job was routing the CAT5E cable in the attic to the basement modem/POE switch and it was worth the time and effort in now having steady wi-fi with no disruption. I give the product and support 2 thumps up and will recommend LP-Link to family and friends.
