      Very nice product, sturdy construction, straightforward instal, good price. I used my own carriage bolts to install under a cabinet as opposed to into a ceiling. For a larger TV (32" for us) the weight of the TV causes the tilt to not stay 100% vertical since the position of the tilt relies on friction alone to "lock" when in use. I've tightened the "hinge" bolts, and may devise a simple rod of the correct length to insert diagonally to keep in place, since in our application we won't be folding it up at all. Overall very happy with the result and impressed with the engineering.

      Fairly straightforward product & install.

      1) many reviews mention the TV points downward from front weight bias. I was worried. I mounted mine and it pointed down UNTIL I adjusted the friction as mentioned in instructions. Used my 6mm bit socket and ratchet. It was super loose as delivered. I tightened but didn’t max out. Now you have to pull it down the last couple inches to vertical but it stays where you put it.

      2) Instructions should mention but doesn’t... when mounting near a wall or obstruction you need to take into account clearances. In my case, I was mounting in front of a ceiling beam. Had to figure how far down I would adjust height so top clears ceiling when down and then space away from beam enough so that bottom clears it in the up position. Also took into account clearance for 45 degree swivel left and right when down but that amount was less than clearance for putting up in center unswiveled position. I guess if wanted to be able to put TV up in a swiveled position you would need account for that as well.

      3) Included instructions for a wood ceiling (like plywood) and for a concrete/brick ceiling but none for sheetrock or ceiling joist. I located a joist and used 2 center screw holes. Seems fairly obvious and sturdy wonder why wasn’t mentioned... liability??

      The Universal Ceiling Mount Bracket was perfect but I got the wrong size. The one I bought can hold up to 37" TV but I can't find any 37" TV in Singapore market so I had to accept a 32" TV which when hung up at my ceiling is a little too small. My advice to Singaporeans is choose a bracket that can hold up to 42" TV and buy a 42" TV for it.
