Product Description

automatic chicken coop door
chicken coop door
chicken door

Troubleshooting for failure to open the door on time:

1. Check if the clock time is the latest time. If the clock time is inaccurate, it may be that the battery power is insufficient. You need to replace the battery and then readjust the time to the latest time.

2. Reset the door opening and closing time at the set time point, and confirm again whether the door opens normally the next day. For example, if you want the door to open at 6 am, you need to set the door opening time at 6 am. After the setting is successful, the door will open at 6 am the next day.

3. Make sure the door has sufficient power and whether the solar panel is adjusted to the best angle and receives the most light.

Super convient to have.

Super convient to have.
It's best to install on a flat surface. My friend installed his on sheet metal and he had problems right away with door going up and down. I installed my on Plywood and so far its been working great. I have it set to sun up n down. It did stop working last week but I just went to turned it on to sun up and down again and its been working great. We did have like 5 gloomy days in a row. IDK if that caused it to stop working.

I installed this a month ago. The first problem I noticed is when on the light sensor setting the door closes too early and closes the chickens out of the coop. I then changed the settings to a time schedule. You have to hold the open/close buttons at the time you want and it's supposed to remember to open/close every 24 hours at the time you set but sometimes the door would close as soon as it was getting dark and lock the chickens out and other times at the time I set so I have to check it every night. After about a month the door began binding and will not open and close and is now useless. This product was a waste of my time and money. I wouldn't recommend it.

Our chickens roost later than most, so I wanted a door with a timer function, so they wouldn't get trapped outside. I haven't had any issue with the timer function. You do have to set it at the door (not remotely) at the actual time you want it to open/close which is kind of annoying but once you set it it's good to go.

I ordered this item and installed. Controller would not operate properly. Returned the item for a replacement. Reinstalled and the controller worked as written, however, after a couple of days the door ceased to operate. It jammed and would not close or open properly. I WOULD NOT recommend this product!

I have the solar panel pointed south facing, and this door has let my girls in and out with 100% reliably for well over a year now. Zero issues.

A month after installing, it started giving me trouble. It’s super hard to change the settings and it works only when it wants to. Waste of my time and money. I get up every morning to open the door and close it every night to keep my girls safe.

I've had 3 different auto coop doors. I thought this one would be better. Installation was easy. I am happy with the remote & solar charger. The door waits too long in the morning. The sun has to be up & shiny. I would prefer to choose the 'lumens'.
Also, I had to manually open the door with the remote today. While the 'girls' were going out, I turned to feed them. When I turned back around, the door had closed again on one of their necks!!! Not happy. I can't find how to report this to the company, otherwise, I would.
