so Far MOST of Gore Wear is made in small people sizes, which is too bad cause i would buy all of it. This jacket kept my core warm; on cold cold days ill wear a long sleeve base layer a Gore Wear Gilet and this Gore Wear Jacket. I can wear this from mid 40s down to upper teens at which point its the hands or feet that give up the ghost first.
Because i also have a Gore Wear gilet i have only unzipped the sleeves of this jacket once, I was nervous cause generally these kind of arm zippers are fussy and stick easy. these sleeves zip on and off with eas.
    6'1", 38 waste, 220 and dropping.
ALL in all my biggest complaint is about the general sizing over the Gore Wear Brands extended line of gear.

There's nothing better than Gore-Tex technology. This jacket weighs nothing but keeps wind out like a champ. Folds up small enough to put into a jersey pocket. Amazing kit and worth every penny

As advertised, it keeps you dry, breaks the wind, and is super lightweight and packable.

I prefer this over my other windbreaker. I’ve used it maybe 30-40 times. Only slight sighs of wear, the letters are falling off.

First about my use: My purchase of this jacket was not for racing in the rain. I'm riding for enjoyment in almost any kind of weather, so it's my new windbreaker that I'll usually wear over a jersey and wool sweater in cold weather. By cold, I mean anything from low 20's to mid 50's (Fahrenheit).

In these conditions, it amazed me how well it breathes because I never felt like it was trapping sweat inside. This is my first GoreTex, so maybe everyone else already knows this but my Pearl Izumi always felt like it was getting filled with condensation on these kind of rides, especially in the sleeves.

I'm of average build, not tall at 5 ft. 7 inches 150 pounds, and I commonly wear men's Medium for everything except bike-specific wear, so I got the Large and it fits me pretty well. The sleeve length is more than I need, but the stretch at the wrists is really good and keeps them in the right place.

About the construction - every seam is taped on the inside. There are no stitch holes on the outside that pass through to the inside. It's either glued or welded on the inside so I'll expect better water-proofing than any tent I've ever owned. I have not yet ridden in enough rain to judge this, but light rain was unnoticeable.

The few oddities I'll note are with the zipper and the single pocket. This is the first piece of outerwear I've owned where the zipper pull is on the left side instead of the right. It's not bad, but it takes some getting used to. The utility of the single rear pocket is really limited due to its size. It stretches but only barely holds my iPhone 11 Pro and a few small items. Using the pocket to store the jacket itself works fine but the zipper is not of the type that swings the pull tab from the outside to the inside.

I’ll leave the performance reviews to everyone else, as I’ve nothing more to add about this superb piece of kit.

Gore sizing is another matter— Do not rely on their sizing chart and be prepared to return a purchase for another size (or order two off the bat and return the size that doesn’t fit).

Couple things to note: This jacket has zero stretch. None. If you carry a tire around your waist, you will likely need to size up. This is not an aero jacket. If you’re looking for something skin tight, look elsewhere and be prepared to spend even more $$$.

According to the size chart, I’m squarely a large—5’11”, 175lbs, 42” chest, long arms. And based on a couple reviews written by guys my size, I purchased the large.

The large fit well in my chest and shoulders, but was very loose around my waist and hips. The neck was just a touch too loose and the arms were quite long and a little looser than I would like. It’s cut quite long in the back, enough to cover your butt and give you some spray protection. The large would have billowed up like a balloon.

I returned it for a medium. It fit me perfectly, with just enough room to layer a long sleeve rash guard and long sleeve jersey for cold weather days. Waist and hips fit well, arm length is perfect in riding position (no gap with gloves), and there is very little extra fabric in the midsection.

I'll have to send this back. The jacket was so tight in the chest, shoulders and forearms that I could barely get into it. I was concerned that any movement would rip the seams. I am not that large either. I am 5' 10", admittedly with a linebacker's body. This fit like a medium. Too bad, I really wanted it, but unless they make it in XXXXL I will never be able to wear it. I have T-shirts and sweatshirts in XXL and I am "swimming" in them. The sizing here is way out of whack!

Buyer beware, the fit of this jacket is NOT consistent with Gore's previously established fit descriptions. I have two prior "slim" Gore shells/jackets and this "slim" is HUGE. It flaps in the wind (and descents) like a loose sail, to the point where I won't use it. Otherwise, it's a solid 5 star piece of kit. I contacted Gore, and they were of no help, blaming me for their mistake.

Es excelente chamarra de ciclismo contra viento y lluvia. La tela shake dry es de lo mejor en cuanto a protección de los elementos; es una lástima que la vayan a dejar de producir. El corte de la prenda es más ceñido al cuerpo. Mido 1.75 y peso 63kg y uso talla S (USA).

Does what it says on the tin. Rolls into cycling jersey pocket, fits nicely (the small is a small by fit of my other kit). Excellent summer rain insurance.
