I am a shoe developer myself so I know these pictures will be priceless. My son had gone through perhaps 10 pairs of upcourt 4,5,6. They are light and inexpensive. These shoes doesn’t need to be fancy with no sew or TPU shank. He is 15 now and his body force burns through a pair much sooner than before. He is also left handed. These two pairs are less than 2 months old. But he trains in club level 5 times a week each 2 hours. My last word: please try to use durable toe cap syn material and improve abrasion resistance of gum rubber. Stitches on medial toe area is also broken from dragging on the ground so think about a way to resolve this. Also use gum rubber only for all colorways. Gum grips much better than any other colors of rubber soles. Hope these help acics to improve. These are not complaints. We will still buy upcourt because my son just can’t wear any other badminton shoes. Thank you!

    Truth be told, the color scheme in the pictures captured me, then the price point, finally the large amount of reviews that were 5 stars.

    When getting these in the fall of 2024, I thought the outdoor pickle ball season was winding down, but was able to play out side the next 75-80 days.

    I am a C+ pickle baller at 64 years young, at that time I weighed north of 280.
    The shoe does run a pinch narrow, but zero slippage.

    The bottom sole is very good on a concrete or asphalt court outside, plus as good indoors on a gym floor, composite or old school tile.

    I have even washed them 6-7 times, color has not faded, Asics work well for me, plus I am prone to flat feet, arch is great without being too dominant .

    Will definitely buy another pair, if these every wear out of breakdown.

    I've been trying to replace my 11 year old Asics Cross-Trainers (on which the soles finally started separating, and, of course, they don't make that style anymore). Tried an Avia (which was disappointing, and I've reviewed elsewhere). Decided to try these Asics "court shoes" instead of a "cross-trainer." They're very comfortable out of the box, and fit true to size. The thing I will have to get used to is the cloth/fabric upper; my cross-trainers were leather, so we'll see how this holds up. First work-out was fine; no shoe or foot issues at all.

    The one SUPER annoying thing is the shoe laces. I was so annoyed, I actually took pictures. The included shoe laces were frustratingly short. As you can see from the first photo, there was barely enough length to tie a bow. Fortunately, I had the foresight to save the laces from my old cross-trainers and put those in. There's only about an inch-and-a-half difference, but that's all it takes to make the shoe more wearable. My feet are pretty normal size, so I don't think it's a "fat foot" problem. I think it's a "let's cut costs" problem on the part of Asics, and for that, the shoe gets a 4 star rating instead of 5. Bottom line - I recommend the shoe; just make sure you have shoe-laces that are AT LEAST 55 inches long. Any shorter and you will have troubles tying them.

    These shoes are everything I had hoped for when I ordered them. They look great, fit like a glove, they are very comfortable! I tried several pairs of shoes, but returned them as they did not meet the goals one would desire in a court shoe. I use them on an indoor pickleball court (hardwood surface) and the grip is very good, by this I mean it grips just the right amount. For example, you don't want too much grip and twist an ankle when planting your foot to stop on a quick sharp movement. Likewise, it offers plenty of grip to take off quickly without any slippage. These shoes should perform well outdoors as they do on our indoor courts.

    I am very pleased and highly recommend these excellent shoes! You won't find a better shoe, even at 2-3 times the price this is offered on Amazon. Save yourself and Amazon some time and hassle, just pick these shoes first and you will be playing right away, no need to continue your search for a great pair of court shoes. See you on the court!

    I have a bone spur on my left big toe that I have to manage carefully (early 40's). I want snug-fitting, durable, lightweight, but very supportive shoes. I'm willing to pay for that so I can keep doing all the activities I love and still avoid over-use of my toe. These shoes...I thought were going to be too tight, a tad snug right at my big toe joint...but they ended up loosening up a bit and have been perfect. I really, really like them.

    I know they're volleyball shoes, and I've been somewhat competitive before, but not for many years. So, I can't really speak to their effectiveness when playing volleyball, however I imagine because of the features mentioned already, that they'd be pretty good.

    I really like them. Probably will order more.
