- Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2023Color: BlueVerified PurchaseMy siblings and I bought two of these for our parents. I had a local bike mechanic assemble them and he said they were pretty difficult to assemble. He told me a non-mechanic would probably struggle. He did say the bikes are very high quality. My parents love them and they are very nice to ride.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2022Color: BlueVerified PurchaseBought this for my wife and it arrived early (about 6 days delivery time). It was well packaged and had only minor shipping damage that was easily corrected.
There were no assembly instructions as all with the bike but there are some assembly videos available on YouTube. I suggest you watch several of them before you attempt assembly.
Being a professional mechanic the assembly ended up being quite easy as long as you do it in the proper sequence.
Part of the forked frame for mounting the rear axle was bent during shipping. No problem to bend it back into position with a large Crescent wrench.
Assembled in about 1 hour. You will need some type of compressed air when your finished as the tires ship almost flat and you will need to air them up. If you don't have an air compressor, run the tires to your local filling station and air them up to 40 psi before you assemble the bike.
Initial test ride was very impressive. I was surprised at the amount of power and performance of the electric motor. I'm close to 300 lbs and the bike hauled me around our little neighborhood at 15-25 mph without any issues.
We are very impressed so far. I may write another review after we see how well the battery holds up. Doing the math, the battery should last approx. 1 hour and 20 minutes at continues full load. Longer with my wife's casual riding style.
We'll see how it works out but first impressions are very good.
One thing that was not well advertised in the specifications is that, this bike does have a twist throttle control like a motorcycle that allows you to just ride it with the battery and motor only without pedaling.
We are RV campers and many campgrounds do not allow electric bikes with throttle controls.
So far I am happy with the investment.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2022Color: BlueVerified PurchaseVery well made! Shipped from California, arrived earlier than expected. Assembly was difficult unless you are mechanically inclined. Video was very helpful.
Rides very comfortable. Mountain bike tires are excellent for streets and gravel. Slowing and leaning into turns is essential, as the three-wheel vehicle is apt to flip over (away from the turn). Sensible riding manages this very well.
Using battery power is far better than expected. 15 to 20 mph is more than enough speed. Much faster would require professional skills.
THIS IS NOT A TOY. I'd recommend keeping it away from children and especially juveniles.
I am very pleased with the quick response to correspondence from the manufacturer. Exceptional service.
I highly recommend this Trike for disabled or senior mobility.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2022Color: BlueVerified PurchaseI purchased this trike as a temporary solution because my partner broke her hip skiing in January. She is still on a cane and not that stable to ride a regular electric bike. Overall, this is not a bad bike for the price range. Between the two of us we already have 5 electric bicycles. I had no problem with any of the others, but this purchase had two troublesome issues.
The trike comes in two boxes, one for the front half and the other for the back half. These have to be connected by two flanges on each part. The packaging for the front part of the trike is inadequate to prevent damage to these flanges. I realize this trike is probably shipped to the US from the orient, but the US supplier should open the shipping box and put more packing inside to prevent this type of thing from happening (see picture).
The first problem I had was communication. The supplier was prompt to respond but not clear in their messaging. I think they should hire a customer service person that speaks and writes good English. The installation video does not clearly show the connecting flanges. At first I could not tell if they were supposed to be bent slightly or I was supposed to straighten them out. Maybe it is clear to some, but if you have never seen this trike put together, it looks like maybe they are supposed to slip together at an angle for support. The frame is sturdy steel and they are difficult to bend - a good thing once you get it together. It took two of us to figure things out and straighten them. And then even after straightening the flanges, they were also bent down so that the bolt wouldn't slide in the slot. More awkward and difficult straightening. In hind-sight I should have shipped it back.
Next, the derailleur was bent. All the other bikes I have purchased have had the derailleur installed with the chain. Obviously on a two-piece bike like this, that is not possible. However, it is reasonable to expect that the installation video should cover that in detail. As per the video it is best to assemble all this with the trike upside down as you can't hang it from a bike service rack. But for someone who has never done this, it can be tricky. I asked the supplier for help, but they sent me pictures of a regular bike derailleur which was right-side up. I just couldn't get my head around it.
By this time the trike was mostly together, too big to get into a SUV and would not fit on a bike rack. I finally found a bike service person that would make house calls for a reasonable fee. I live in Denver, which is a large city, but many contacted would not work on trikes at all and very few make house calls. The average price quoted just to work on the derailleur was $250. I finally found a person that would come out for $100. The service man said the derailleur supplied was very flimsy (and upon comparison to one he had, it obviously was.) He replaced it with the same brand but one step higher grade and only charged me $37 for the part, so you can imagine what the original derailleur must have cost.
My advice to the seller is that the video is inadequate. It has background music, no speaking, and subtitles, but no speaking or wording to go after critical or tricky steps. I think some detailed printed materials in addition would be a great help. I was watching the video on my laptop when I was putting it together, but a paper diagram in places would be a great help. You also have to tie down several cables and the video does not show the best way to route them in detail. Proper cable tie-down is critical as you don't want a cable getting snagged on something and damaged.
On the upside, the frame is sturdy and the cables and cords that were routed were done nicely. The controller is simple to understand and considering the typical buyer of these trikes, are easy to use. The trike has a handlebar twist throttle to get going from a dead stop. After you pedal for about 6 seconds the motor kicks in at a steady assist. There are 3 levels of assist. After you stop pedaling, the motor kicks out after a couple of seconds. If you tap either one of the brakes, the motor kicks out. These are all nice safety features (although they are standard on most e-bikes.) The battery has a built-in tail light and the bike also comes with a larger tail light and headlight. The battery has a keylock that locks it in place as well. You are able to turn the battery off with the key and keep it locked in place - a good feature to prevent someone from just riding off with it. Both front and back Brake levers have locking features which is handy as there is no kickstand like with 2-wheel bikes, and once you get off it you lock the brakes so it won't roll away. The seat is comfy. For the price range, the quality is what you would expect.
My partner was kind of spooked at first on how a trike handles on turns. The feel is quite different than on a two wheeler. This trike is configured so that the rider sits up high and straight. It is a comfy position for an inexperienced bike rider. However, this puts your center of gravity high and you can easily get the feeling you could tip over. I think this is something you have to get used to with all trikes. If you go over a manhole cover that is recessed a little or over a hole with one wheel, the trike will rock a little. You need to be alert that the back wheels stick out from the centerline of the bike. We have a small drop off our driveway to the street. With a two wheel bike there is no problem driving off at an angle. With a trike you need to be careful as the whole thing will rock to the side.
One of my riding friends made negative comments about only a 350 watt motor. Considering the audience for this bike, it is extremely adequate. A higher wattage motor would need a bigger battery and add weight. A 500 watt or 750 watt motor would only make the bike less safe in my opinion. When you start from a dead stop, the bike gradually speeds up and considering the different feel of a trike and the typical trike buyer, this is a good thing. I took this up a steep residential hill in 2nd level assist and it did fine. I weigh 180lbs, my partner less. I got the blue color, it is very attractive and well painted.
Bottom line, the trike is $1400 plus additional shipping. You should hire someone to help assemble and adjust it. It's heavy. Most e-bikes are around 60 lbs, this is somewhat more. It's a 2-person job to assemble the fame in my opinion. I'd allow $200 for a bike mechanic. You won't get the best help from the supplier or the videos. With tax your outlay for this trike could be about $1900-1950.
My rating of a 3 is mostly because of the packaging, assembly instructions, and the support.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not a bad trike, but seller assistance and communication lacksI purchased this trike as a temporary solution because my partner broke her hip skiing in January.

It is beyond my expectations once we got it put together. Be certain to read the operating manual in addition to watching the video. There are things the video does not discuss. Thank goodness I had a helper who rode a derailer bike. The front light did not work, but was quickly replaced by the company and the replacement works fine. It is a joy to ride, assists on inclines beyond expectations. It rides well and exceeds my hopes at a reasonable price. I've looked at lesser trikes for double the money! This is a really wonderful value from my point of view.

5.0 out of 5 stars Husband loves this bike
Color: RedVerified PurchaseThis is my husband's review of this e-bike that I gave him for his birthday: I love my e-trike in all its three modes! I use the 7 gears – lovely paddle shifter and very good shifting. No battery required. And I use the peddle-assist -- it senses when I need it, more on going up hills and less going down. You can choose one of three levels. Either front or back brake disengages it for as long as the brake is engaged. Or just stop peddling to tell it you don’t want it. Note: I had the peddle-assist on but I was walking my bike and my knee inadvertently hit the pedal, and the bike started to move away on its own! Luckily, I had a hand on the brake. I will never again walk the bike with the pedal-assist switched on! And then there is the throttle – the right grip on the handlebar turns like on a motorcycle, and power surges into the bike. A wonderful feeling! You can be in any gear, and the peddle-assist may be on or off – just the power has to be switched on. It uses up battery at a faster rate of course. My only complaint – very little of these three modes is properly explained in the printed and online material on the trike. Some of the explanation is even wrong. I hesitated to buy the bike for several weeks, during which time the price of delivery went up. I had it delivered to a great local bike shop (Tall Tree Cycles, Ottawa) which assembled it for me for CAD $180 plus tax. I added a rear-view mirror. Did I say I love my e-trike?

4.0 out of 5 stars Très bon tricycle

2.0 out of 5 stars Decent quality bike - but was a return/damaged
Color: RedVerified PurchaseWhen starting to put together the bike, I notice this was not the first time. There are many paint chips and marks on the bike where someone had assembled it at least partially before. I was purchasing a new bike. This is not new.
