This thing is awesome with all its features and options plus "Apple Car Play" is amazing!
First and foremost, on my Chevy Cobalt the wire harness is the (GMCOL11 Peripheral GMLAN Warning Chime and Radio Interface) it's old, from 2009. They have similar ones with newer tech to assist with Onstar and such, so make sure you get the correct harness to support Onstar. Also do your due diligence when it comes to research on car system functions to work on your unit. Look up "Maestro" for your specific unit and or Vehicle. (My review is specific to Chevy Cobalt)
My first experience wiring the unit is to remove the wire harness from the car and wire everything together in the house.
Then come to the car with the wire harness first and make room in the dash area where the radio goes by removing the three screws, cutting the plastic directly in the center and pushing on and bending back the metal brace (Do all this Inside the dash area where the radio goes) After you've done this attach the wire harness making sure you can tuck everything in there towards the bottom half of the dash area as to leave room for the radio.
If for some reason your radio stops working, (No power) it just might be the red "ACC Power" wire this happened to me so all I did was remove that wire from its wire harness connection and added a 12" piece of wire and ran it thru the dash area does to the fuse box located on the passenger side foot board and with a fusible link attached it to the "Power windows 2A fuse connection. No issue since.
UPDATE! (Also, updated the name for the wire harness, look above)
I have marked the areas that need cutting with asterisks, and the three screws that need removing with three stars, also that metal you see is what you should push with something like a pipe or hammer and bend it as to make room for the back of the radio. (Also pay close attention to the fuse box picture.)

Top the line for CarPlay and optimal viewing angles!
I purchased this radio primarily because I needed something that was CarPlay compatible and had an adjustable screen. Previously I had installed the DMH-1500 and found that the fixed screen was a problem.When researching buying a deck like this, make sure to take the viewing angle seriously. This deck allows you to have the screen at 5 different angles. That is huge because the glare from your seats and passengers can be an issue for any radio. This unit is the best defense against that.Wireless CarPlay is super cool. It works via WiFi built into the unit. It also has the option to plug in USB if you’d prefer that method. This charges your phone as well.CarPlay normally works great (all of the heavy lifting is done by your phone). There is one serious but I am experiencing (hence 4 stars). People I talk to on the phone say they can hear themselves echoing after they speak. I didn’t have this issue in my previous Pioneer unit so I am assuming this is a software issue with this model. I hope they release an update to fix it.The user interface is nice. It seems a tad sluggish but that is something Pioneer usually fixes with a firmware update at some point. This radio is new so they haven’t issued any yet.The sound is terrific. I used the optional add-on mic to take acoustic readings in my car and tune the EQ to compliment my vehicle. It clears the mix up nicely. My car is a 2015 Mazda 6 with the Bose amp and speakers. This unit makes them sing. I am able to maintain all steering wheel controls (you need a harness that supports this for your vehicle).The screen works the very best a resistive touch screen can. It’s clear and very responsive. This doesn’t do multi-touch like capacitive models do. But if you want a 7 inch capacitive screen from Pioneer you’ll pay nearly double the cost of this radio. The screen is extremely bright even in the sun. However, glare can be a major issue with these screens. But the ability to change the angle negates the problem. I enjoy being able to use custom wallpaper and splash screens. That is more rare of a feature than you’d expect.This unit has a built in GPS module to save battery life on your phone during wireless CarPlay / Android Auto use. I ran the antenna so it sits on the dash in the center. It’s very small and works well.I’ve added the optional SiriusXM tuner. This unit gives you channel logos and album artwork. I like the that kind of thing. It makes me smile.The unit has a DVD player. I’ve never used it. The only reason I chose a DVD model is because it was the only way to get a 7 inch screen that has an adjustable display. I can’t speak for how it works because I have no use for it. Not my thing.This would be 5 stars if it wasn’t for the CarPlay echo. But truthfully I don’t know if this is totally Pioneer’s fault or Apple. I’m not an engineer.
