Every single item I have bought from Amazon that's made in China is junk. Chinese products are negative value, since you spend $30 and get nothing of value. Chinese products claim it's 18-10 stainless, and it rusts in 1 hour.
I bought this American made set, and I put a fork in water for 2 days. It still looks good as new. The product feels durable (more time will tell). I feel like I have got a bargain deal since it's 45 pieces, and it feels like it will last 50 years.
Whenever I need kitchen tools, my go to will be Liberty. I will recommend these to everyone. I wish they made more products like pairing and chef knives.

We understand the importance of value, that is why we only use the best raw materials available and hand inspect every flatware piece before it leaves our Upstate NY factory. Environmental Standards
Sherrill Manufacturing / Liberty Tabletop supports the preservation of a clean and safe environment. We avoid using toxic chemicals, oils and lubes in our processes. We filter our buffering units in order to avoid sending dust particles into the air. Our raw material suppliers of stainless steel, buffing compound, packaging supplies and more are also American companies that produce their goods following the same responsible environmental standards. Our energy source is mainly hydroelectric through the City of Sherrill program coming from Niagara Falls hydro-power.
