I ordered this back brace to help with lower back pain while at home and at work. I do not have severe back pain but just aging of back and spine, sitting long periods at computer and walking and standing at work make my back hurt. I ordered XXL because I am very heavy. It was hard to find back braces that will fit people that are on the heavy side and I liked that is was a longer brace. There are stays in it but they do not pinch or push into back. It seems to be well constructed and sturdy. I tried it at home as a test before using it for work. The stretch was very good and Velcro straps held it in place. I made it fit very snug and the comfort after 3 hours was tight. I released it and re-stretched to fit not as tight. I could not believe that my back pain was not an issue. I sat at computer for about 5 hours working and completely no pain while sitting and after I got up. I used it at work and was also amazed that after a day of work which includes lifting, hauling items, walking and standing, I was not sore at end of day. I released the brace and re-stretched twice during an 8 hour work day. This seems to help with comfort. But I think it also depends on how tight you want the brace to fit. The quality is very good. This is a great item to help with lower back pain issues while sitting and standing at work. Although not a medical cure for major health issues, it does seem to relief the stress on back which is a great help. I would recommend this item and would purchase again.

Better than other things I tried
I hurt my lower back on Jan. 3rd and it still hurts on April 21st. I'm not one to run to the doctor every time I get a sore muscle or sniffle. I've tried OTC medication which helped a little, arch support insoles which made the pain worse, posture correcting brace with back support similar to this item which helps a little, and Ben Gay Ultimate which helps a little.As soon as I put the Suptrust Back Brace on I had instant relief. More relief than all the other things I tried. It especially helps when I'm sitting in my office chair. However, I have found that if I leave it on for 4 to 6 hours my lower back begins to hurt again BUT once I take it off it's as if my lower back is cured which it isn't.So here's what I'm currently doing. I rub on Ban Gay Ultimate then put on the Suptrust Back Brace and posture correcting brace because I'd like to correct my posture as well. I don't even notice the pain for 4 to 6 hours and the braces are not limiting my movement and are quite comfortable.I'll mention the back pain to my doctor on the next regularly scheduled visit but for now I'm very happy with the Suptrust Back Brace.
